ICS November Blog Hop All About Christmas

Thank you for joining us today for the ICS November Blog Hop as we showcase projects All About Christmas. Our wonderful Design Team members are excited to share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative for the holidays. There are so many wonderful options to explore.
For my Christmas card design, I decided to use the Joy of Noel Bundle from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog along with the Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Online Exclusives. I wanted to create a more traditional Christmas card with a bit of a twist. Instead of the traditional red and green, I chose to use Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for the background and card base and added touches of Gold embossing to step up the design. For the foliage, I used a Blender Pen to color the leaves and berries to give them a watercolor look. I love the way the Gold embossed Noel pops against the Pretty Peacock circle to create the focal point for the design.

I love the combination of Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock and I thought they would look good together for a Christmas card design. I chose to use the Lost Lagoon Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper for the background and the Pretty Peacock card base helps make it pop. For the focal circle, I die cut a Pretty Peacock circle with the Deckled Circles and added the Gold embossed letters on the circle to spell Noel. For the foliage, I heat embossed the image twice with Gold embossing powder and colored the leaves and berries using a Blender Pen and inks. After die cutting them out, I adhered them to the card front and then added the Pretty Peacock circle in the center using Stampin' Dimensionals. I die cut some of the smaller foliage from Pretty Peacock cardstock and added them to either side of the circle. For a touch of bling, I added several Red Festive Pearls to finish off the card.
