Stamping Inkspirations June Blog Hop Shades of Blue Color Challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations June Blog Hop and this month we have a Color Challenge using Shades of Blue. Blue is my favorite color, so I am so excited about this month's theme and the chance to share some of Stampin' Up!'s beautiful colors with you all. Our talented Design Team will be sharing their own amazing projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the many beautiful blues that Stampin' Up! has to offer.
I was so happy when the new 2022-2024 In Colors came out last month, as there are three beautiful new blues included that make my heart happy. I chose to use these colors - Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky for my clean and simple card design and I love how these pretty colors work together. I chose the Hydrangea Haven stamp set to create my background design and the Celebrating You stamp set for the sentiment.

Basic White Cardstock

Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers and I thought they would be perfect for this Shades of Blue card design. I stamped the outline images with Starry Sky Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock. I used Tahitian Tide Classic ink to stamp the background solid image for the large floral clusters and I used Orchid Oasis Classic ink, stamped off once, to stamp the solid smaller floral background images. For the leaves, I used a Blender Pen to gently blend the ink from the stamped Starry Sky outline images, to create a soft look to the leaves. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Celebrating You stamp set with White embossing powder and die cut the label with the Stylish Shapes Dies. I trimmed off the left side of the banner label and adhered it to the right side of the card front. To finish off the card design, I added small Basic Pearls to the centers of the single flowers to step up the card design.
