New At SU June Blog Hop Hues of Happiness Suite

Welcome to the New at SU June Blog Hop as we showcase the amazing Suites in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. Our Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the wonderful variety of suites that Stampin' Up! has to share.
The Hues of Happiness Suite is perfect for creating beautifully detailed cards and I love the pretty colors in the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. The Blossoming Happiness Dies coordinate with several of the flowers and leaves images from this paper pack to make it easy to create wonderful designs without having to fussy cut. For my card design, I chose to use Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Freesia and Basic White along with the die cut flowers and leaves which included Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green.  I love the detail the dies created for the background and the notebook look of the focal image. This was a fun card to create and this design would work for a variety of occasions.

Flowers and leaves die cut with the Blossoming Happiness Dies
With this pretty card design, the Blossoming Happiness Dies do all the hard work. I used them to create the detail for the Fresh Freesia cardstock background, the detailed edge for the Basic White cardstock layer and to die cut the individual flowers and leaves from the designer series paper. The only stamping required for this card is the sentiment on the Basic White cardstock layer, which is from the Happiness Abounds stamp set. I used Gorgeous Grape Classic ink to stamp it towards the top to allow room for the flowers and leaves towards the bottom right corner. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the largest flower and attached the remaining flowers and leaves so that they layer underneath. To embellish the card, I used three of the Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots and two small pieces of the Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon that I frayed and attached underneath the large flower with Mini Glue Dots. I love the texture and sparkle that the ribbon adds to the design.

  1. What a lovely femine card! I really like the way you used the metallic ribbon! It looks amazing!

  2. I'll have to "take a page from your book" (just as your card looks like) and try to use the background die...and that's the prettiest way to use the Sweet Sorbet metallic ribbon that I've seen! You've inspired me.
