My window card is a clean and simple design featuring the Party Puffins stamp set. I love these cute little birds and the sentiments are perfect for creating cute birthday cards. To create the window for this card, I used the Layering Circles Dies for the puffin to peek through. I wanted bright, cheerful colors, so I chose to use Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Basic White for this design.

This is a simple card to assemble with just a few die cuts and a little bit of stamping. For the focal image, I stamped the puffin with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers. Using Paper Snips, I fussy cut out the puffin. To create the card front, I stamped the Daffodil Delight cardstock with the candles image using Daffodil Delight Classic ink for a tone on tone background design. I die cut a circle out of the center of the layer using one of the Layering Circles Dies. To create the frame, I used the scallop circle and circle dies to die cut the frame from a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock. I attached the frame to the card front around the circle opening with adhesive. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I popped up the card front and attached it to the Basic White cardstock layer and then attached it to the card base. Originally, I had planned to pop up the puffin image with dimensions but instead decided to adhere it so that it lay flat inside the window opening. To create the sentiment, I stamped the image onto a 1/2" strip of Basic White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed it to 2 1/2". To create the matte layer, I cut a 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock and attached it to the back of the sentiment layer before attaching it to the card front. To complete the design, I colored three of the medium size pearls with the Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the card front for a touch of bling.
