2019 Kre8tors December Blog Hop Christmas

Welcome to the 2019 Kre8tors December Blog Hop as we showcase our Christmas projects. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas to help inspire you. I hope that you enjoy our projects.
For today's Christmas card design, I wanted to create something fun and whimsical. I chose to use the adorable #Elfie stamp set (item #150509) from the 2019 Holiday Catalog and combined it with this candy cane striped pattern from the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper (item #150432) to create this clean and simple holiday card.
The colors I chose for this card have a traditional Christmas feel to them. I chose Thick Very Vanilla cardstock for the card base to coordinate with the designer series paper and I added a layer of the designer series paper to create the background. For the focal design, I stamped the elf image onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut it using the Layering Ovals Dies (item #141706). I colored the image using Real Red, Call Me Clover, Petal Pink and Pineapple Punch Stampin' Blends Markers and I framed it with a Real Red cardstock scalloped oval that I die cut with the Layering Ovals Dies. To add texture to the elf's hat, I added Snowfall Accents Puff Paint (item #150691) to the bottom cuff and heated it with my Heat tool so that it puffed up.
For the sentiment, I stamped the image onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch (item #141491) and layered it onto a frame cut from Real Red cardstock using the Ornate Frames Dies (item #150664). I colored two of the Basic Pearls with the Dark Call Me Clover Stampin' Blend Marker to embellish the sentiment and attached it to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish off the card design, I added a piece of Gold 3?8" Metallic Edge Ribbon around the center of the designer series paper layer and added the focal design to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals over the top of the ribbon. For a touch of shimmer, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the colored elf image.
