Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop August 2019

Welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for the month of August, as we share ideas and projects to help inspire you with your creativity. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as you hop along with us. These wonderful demonstrators have been my support over the past year, as we help each build our businesses and grow creatively. I hope that you will enjoy what we have to share with you this month.
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, so I just had to try the new Lots of Cheer stamp set (item #149503) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to create some fun Christmas cards for my Christmas in July Card Classes last month. This stamp set is so versatile and I was amazed at how many different designs I was able to create from this one stamp set. Today I am sharing one of these designs where I partnered this stamp set with the beautiful Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (item #149497) and the pretty new 2019-2021 In Colors that coordinate with it.
I started with Seaside Spray cardstock for the card base and added a layer of one of the designs of designer series paper. I love how the Seaside Spray makes the colors in the designer series paper pop and come alive. To create the focal image, I die cut a scalloped square using the Layering Squares Dies (item #141708) from Seaside Spray cardstock to matte the Rococo Rose square that I also die cut with the same die set. I stamped the ornament image onto the Rococo Rose square and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I then colored parts of the ornament using the
Seaside Spray Stampin' Write Marker from the 2019-2021 In Color Stampin' Write Markers set (item # 150079).
To create the sentiment, I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #148551) to die cut one rectangle from Rococo Rose cardstock and a larger one from Seaside Spray cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder to coordinate with the focal image onto the Rococo Rose rectangle and then layered it onto the Seaside Spray rectangle.

To complete the card design, I added a strip of Seaside Spray 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon (itme #149707) across the bottom of the card front and layered the sentiment on top of the ribbon, attaching it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I also added the focal image with Stampin' Dimensionals, lining it up above the sentiment. I love how this non-traditional Christmas card turned out and how pretty the silver embossing looks with this color combination. It just goes to show that there are no rules when it comes to creating card designs for the holidays.
I hope that you have enjoyed my card design today and I hope that it helps you think outside the box when it comes to creating your own projects. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Please hop along and visit with my fellow demonstrators by visiting the blogs listed below. We would love it if you would leave us a comment to let us know what you enjoyed about our projects this month.

Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,
