Painted Glass - What's New at Stampin' Up! Blog Hop

Welcome to the new What's New at Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world excited to share our projects created using products from the New 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  You may have just visited  Mary Ann's wonderful blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here. I hope that you will find our projects inspiring.

One of my favorite bundles from the new catalog is the Painted Glass bundle. The Painted Glass stamp set and Stained Glass thinlets die set coordinate beautifully to create gorgeous projects.

For my card base I chose the new In Color, Blueberry Bushel, and accented it with Silver Foil using the thinlets dies to create the intricate detailed lattice. The roses and sentiment were stamped and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder onto Whisper White cardstock and I used the framelit to die cut the roses. The roses were colored using Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover Classic ink pads and a blender pen for a soft water color look. Both of these colors are also in the new In Color collection.

I highlighted the roses with Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmer and attached them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The layer of Blueberry Bushel cardstock was attached to the cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension to the card.

This card design is simple to create but has a wonderful Wow factor to it. I love the way the Silver Foil pops against the Blueberry Bushel cardstock. The font of the sentiment is beautiful and fits perfectly with the rest of the card design.

I hope you have enjoyed my card design and I hope it inspires you to try the new Painted Glass bundle for your own projects. Now it's time to visit Ginny's blog and see what she has to share with us. GSF June Blog Hop New Annual Catalog

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month we are featuring new products from the New 2018-2019 Annual Catalog that launches today. I hope that you will be inspired by our projects to try out these new products yourself.

I chose to use the new Painted Glass Bundle for my card design along with the new In Color, Lovely Lipstick. It is such a wonderful vibrant color so I used Lovely Lipstick cardstock for my card base and added a layer of Basic Black cardstock as a matte to the Whisper White cardstock layer.

The intricate frame around the butterfly has been die cut using the Stained Glass Thinlets dies from Basic Black cardstock and the butterfly image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and colored with an assortment of Stampin' Write Markers to give that stained glass look. It was also die cut using a die from the Stained Glass Thinlets dies. This stamp set and coordinating thinlets die set work beautifully together and when purchased as a bundle, you can save 10%.

The sentiment was heat embossed onto a 1" strip of Basic Black card stock and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I used  Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon to create a border on either side of the Basic Black cardstock strip to tie in with the card base.

I love the clean and simple design of this card and the bold contrast between the Lovely Lipstick, Basic Black and Whisper White. The Gold embossing worked beautifully to showcase the intricate font of the sentiment.

This is just one of the amazing possibilities you can create with this bundle and I look forward to playing with it more and exploring different combinations.
