We Create November Blog Hop Gratitude & Gatherings

When I think of the month of November, I think of it being the month of gratitude and giving thanks for the blessings in my life. So, this month's We Create Blog Hop theme was perfect for creating cards to share with the people in my life that I am thankful for. Our Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas with this month's theme of Gratitude & Gatherings to help inspire you to get creative and share them with the people you care about.
One of my favorite things about the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper, are the beautiful photo realistic background designs that make perfect card fronts for clean and simple cards. I chose one of these designs for my card today and chose to let this beautiful background be the star of the show. I added a sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set and heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder to help step up the design. I would like to think that whoever receives this beautiful card, will feel the love being sent in this paper hug and hopefully display it where they can be reminded each day that someone appreciates them.

I chose to use colors that coordinate with the designer series paper, including Copper Clay cardstock for the card base and Early Espresso for the matte layer and sentiment. The Gold embossing for the sentiment and Gold Festive Pearls help to step up this card design to make it extra special. I also added a piece of Copper Clay Textured Ribbon underneath the sentiment to add some texture to the design. This lovely design would also be perfect for a Fall birthday and works well as a masculine card design.

We Create Gratitude Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create Gratitude Blog Hop as we celebrate being thankful for the people in our lives. We have Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world, sharing their wonderful ideas and projects to help inspire you. You may have just visited Anastasia's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey with me. I hope that you will enjoy the projects we have to share with you.

My card design is a Fall themed card featuring the Country Lane Designer Series Paper (item #147804) from the 2018 Holiday Catalog and I have combined it with the wonderful leaf thinlets from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets dies (item #143751) in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.

I created the card base from Cajun Craze cardstock and added a layer of Early Espresso cardstock as a matte for the layer of Country Lane Designer Series Paper. The design on this paper reminds me of Indian Corn and I just love the way the shades of Crushed Curry worked with these colors

To create the leaf element, I die cut the solid leaf from Cajun Craze cardstock and layered the detailed leaf die cut from Copper Foil on top. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Painted Harvest stamp set (item #144783) with Copper embossing powder onto a strip of Crushed Curry cardstock and layered it onto a strip of Early Espresso cardstock. To embellish the sentiment panel, I used the 1/4" Copper Trim to wrap around the panel and added a small bow to the stem of the leaf.

This card design would be perfect as a Thanksgiving card or just as a way to show someone that you appreciate them. The design works well as a masculine card and you could change the sentiment to use it for a variety of other occasions.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card design and I hope that it inspires you to create your own cards of gratitude to share with the people you love. It's amazing the difference a simple card can make it someone's life. Now it's time to visit Julie's blog and see what she has to share with us this month.
