So Santa Christmas Card

Happy Christmas Eve everyone.
Today I thought I would share with you a very special Christmas card. This fun card design is the one I created for my parents and it has a special connection to them. As soon as I saw the So Santa stamp set in the 2018 Holiday Catalog, I knew I had to order it. The fun images in this stamp set are so whimsical and the "Scooter Santa" made me think of my parents who used to work for the Post Office when I was young. My Mum used to deliver the mail on a scooter so it seemed like the perfect image to use on their Christmas card this year.

For this card I chose to use Thick Whisper White cardstock for my card base and added a layer of Dashing Along Designer Series Paper (item #149903). I just love the snowflake design and Cherry Cobbler is a wonderful red for Christmas cards.

I stamped the Santa image and sentiment from the So Santa stamp set (item #147821 Clear Mount) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock and colored the image with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. I just love how vibrant these colors are and the Stampin' Blends Markers are so amazing to color with. I layered the Whisper White cardstock strip onto a layer  of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and attached it to the card front.

To finish off the card, I added a little Clear Wink of Stella to the Santa image for a little sparkle. I just love the way this card came together and I will miss this cute stamp set. If you would like to order the So Santa stamp set or the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper, I recommend that you place your order soon. Both of these wonderful products are retiring and are available only while supplies last or until January 2nd, 2018. We Create Christmas Blog Hop

It's time for the We Create Christmas Blog Hop and this month we are sharing our fun ideas for Christmas projects. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and I love the variety of products in the 2018 Holiday Catalog so it was a hard choice picking just one.

This month I chose to use the Spirited Snowmen stamp set to create a beautiful Christmas card suitable for a couple. This stamp set is full of cute snowmen images but there was something about this one that just spoke to me.

To create this card I chose Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base and added a layer of the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper (item #149903). I just love the traditional Christmas colors and patterns in this paper pack.

For the focal design, I cut a 2 1/8" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the image onto it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the sentiment using the same ink, along the bottom of the cardstock. Using a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers, I colored in the images and added shadowing for the snow.

The snowflakes were stamped using Pool Party Classic ink and I added Basic Rhinestones that colored using the Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker. I layered the Whisper White cardstock onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler to create a matte to add a little definition to the design.

This stamp set is so sweet and you can create a variety of wonderful cards wit it beyond Christmas cards, just by changing the sentiments. It's great for all ages and works for both guys and girls. I hope this stamp set carries over to a future catalog but in case it doesn't, I recommend you order this one in case it disappears.

I hope you have enjoyed my fun Christmas card and I hope it inspires you to create your own cards for the holidays. Now it's time to visit Julie's blog and see what she has to share this month. Just click the Next button below to visit her blog. I hope that you enjoy the rest of our blog hop.

Until Next Time.
Happy Stampin',
