Global Stamping Friends October Blog Hop Changing Seasons

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends October Blog Hop as we explore this month's theme of Changing Seasons. Autumn is a upon us which means we are experiencing the wonderful colors with the changing of the leaves here in Colorado and it's fun to plan for the upcoming events that make this time of year special. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you get in the spirit of this new season and spark your creativity.
One of my favorite things about Fall is getting the chance to play with the rich warm colors that we often think of at this time of year. For my clean and simple card design, I chose to use Wild Wheat and Copper Clay to create that warm feeling of Fall. I chose to use the Changing Leaves Bundle with the beautiful Regal Winter Designer Series Paper to create this elegant design. I love this color combination and the floral background adds wonderful texture to the design. This card design would work well for so many occasions to celebrate the season.

Wild Wheat is one of those colors that can take a little warming up to but once you do, you will see that it is a perfect Fall color. When you combine it with Copper Clay, you have this wonderful combination that works beautifully to create a clean and simple card. The design from the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper is so pretty and adds subtle texture to the background without being overwhelming. I love the detailed leaves die cuts and they really pop against the background. I stamped the sentiment with Copper Clay Classic ink onto the Basic White label and added it to the card front, adhering the leaves so they create a frame. To complete the card design, I added several Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots for a touch of bling.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 36 - Cajun Craze

Happy Friday everyone. It's time for Week 36 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge. This week we are showcasing Cajun Craze, a beautiful warm color perfect for Fall. With the new season just around the corner, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to create an elegant clean and simple card to help us get ready for Fall.
One of my favorite things about the Changing Leaves Bundle is that it has all the pieces to create beautiful cards. The detailed embossing folder is perfect for backgrounds and I coordinates perfectly with the detailed die cuts. The stamp set has wonderful sentiments that work for a variety of occasions to help finish off the design. To help showcase Cajun Craze, I paired it with Very Vanilla cardstock and Gold Foil sheets to create a simply elegant design.
Products Used:
Changing Leaves Bundle (item #164139)
Cajun Craze Cardstock (item #119684)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pad (item #147085)
Blooming Pearls (item #162238)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Cajun Craze Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Detailed Leaves die cut with Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder Dies
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Card Front - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" embossed with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder
Gold Foil Sheets
Detailed Leaves & Sprig die cut with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder Dies
To create this simply beautiful Fall card, I started by embossing the Very Vanilla cardstock card front with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. I love the deep, detailed impressions this embossing folder adds to the cardstock and it was perfect for the background of this card design. I then die cut several detailed leaves from Cajun Craze cardstock to help add some texture and detail to the design. To add contrast and help step up the design, I die cut one of the smaller leaf sprigs as well as the detailed sprig from the Gold Foil. I stamped the sentiment with Cajun Craze Classic ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then die cut the sentiment out with one of the coordinating dies. I also cut another die cut from Cajun Craze cardstock to layer behind the sentiment label. I attached the leaves to the card front and then added the layered sentiment over the top with Stampin' Dimensionals to add some depth to the design. To finish off the card, I added two small Gold pearls to the sentiment labels for a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore using Cajun Craze in your upcoming projects. It is a perfect color for Fall and the upcoming holidays.
