Global Stamping Friends October Blog Hop Changing Seasons

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends October Blog Hop as we explore this month's theme of Changing Seasons. Autumn is a upon us which means we are experiencing the wonderful colors with the changing of the leaves here in Colorado and it's fun to plan for the upcoming events that make this time of year special. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you get in the spirit of this new season and spark your creativity.
One of my favorite things about Fall is getting the chance to play with the rich warm colors that we often think of at this time of year. For my clean and simple card design, I chose to use Wild Wheat and Copper Clay to create that warm feeling of Fall. I chose to use the Changing Leaves Bundle with the beautiful Regal Winter Designer Series Paper to create this elegant design. I love this color combination and the floral background adds wonderful texture to the design. This card design would work well for so many occasions to celebrate the season.

Wild Wheat is one of those colors that can take a little warming up to but once you do, you will see that it is a perfect Fall color. When you combine it with Copper Clay, you have this wonderful combination that works beautifully to create a clean and simple card. The design from the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper is so pretty and adds subtle texture to the background without being overwhelming. I love the detailed leaves die cuts and they really pop against the background. I stamped the sentiment with Copper Clay Classic ink onto the Basic White label and added it to the card front, adhering the leaves so they create a frame. To complete the card design, I added several Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots for a touch of bling.

  1. Wild Wheat and Copper Clay are perfect colors for Fall! And that little outline die cut of the leaves makes an excellent accent. Thanks for sharing :-D
