Global Stamping Friends October Blog Hop Halloween & Autumn Colors

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop as we showcase Halloween and Autumn colors. October is such a wonderful month with the leaves changing to beautiful colors and everyone is getting ready to celebrate Halloween. Our wonderful Design Team Members will be sharing their ideas and projects to help inspire you to get into the spirit of the season.
Now that the weather is getting cooler and the days are getting shorter, I have noticed now beautiful the night sky is at the moment. There is something about the colors as twilight fades in Autumn that inspired me to create this fun Halloween card design using the Best Witches stamp set and the Aspen Trees Dies. I just love the dark silhouette of the trees for the background behind the cute little witch and her cauldron and the glow of the sky behind her. I love exploring different color combinations and for this card I had fun combining purples and blues with a touch of warmth with a splash of orange and yellow.

I had so much fun playing with colors to create this Halloween card. For the blended background layer, I used Blending Brushes to add layers of Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Orchid Oasis Classic ink, starting from the bottom and working towards the top. I also added some Orchid Oasis in around the sides to create the glow in the center. For the silver fog in the background, I attached several pieces of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon over the blended background layer and attached the ends on the back of the cardstock. I just love this silvery sparkle that it adds to this card design. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Silver embossing powder onto the scalloped oval die cut from Starry Sky cardstock. I added the Basic Black die cut layer over the top of the background layering using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure to line up both layers. For the witch image, I stamped the image onto Basic White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers and then fussy cut the image with Paper Snips. To complete the card design, I attached the witch image to the bottom of the card front and added Silver Foil stars that I punched out using the Witch Builder Punch. For a slight touch of sparkle, I also added Clear Wink of Stella to the yellow buckle on the band of the witch's hat and to the flames and bubbles around the cauldron.

We Create October Blog Hop Halloween & Harvest

Welcome to the We Create October Blog Hop as we showcase our theme of Halloween & Harvest. With the arrival of Fall, it's fun to create projects for the new season using new color combinations. Our Design Team Members will be sharing their wonderful ideas and projects to help inspire you.
One of my favorite things about Fall is celebrating Halloween. Our family loves to decorate our house and our front yard for the season and even though my kids are too old for trick or treating, we still enjoy the fun traditions of this spooky holiday. For my card design today, I wanted to show how you can take a non-traditional Halloween stamp set like Yeti to Party and create a fun "scary" monster card. For the background, I chose one of the designs from the Black & White Designer Series Paper and I used the Alphabest Bundle to create my sentiment. This fun card design would make a wonderful birthday card for someone who celebrates their special day this month.
Products Used:
Yeti To Party stamp set (item #159826)
Best Witches stamp set (item #159860)
Alphabest Bundle (item #158886)
Black & White Designer Series Paper (item #159861)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613)
Parakeet Party Cardstock (item #159259)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Memento Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #155518)
Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #159220)
Glitter Washi Tape (item #159973)
Black Stampin' Dimensionals Combo Pack (item #150893)
Measurements:
Basic Black Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
4 Sentiment Labels punched out with the Best Labels Punch
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Stamped Yeti image, fussy cut with scissors
Black & White Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4"
Parakeet Party Cardstock
Stamped frog image using Best Witches stamp set, fussy cut
This cute Halloween card showcases how you can add wonderful splashes of color to a black and white card design. Both the Yeti and the frog were stamped onto colored cardstock to simplify the card design, without the need for coloring. I used the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Marker to outline the inside of the Yeti and the Light Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Marker to outline the inside of the frog image, to add some dimension. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the letters and exclamation point with White embossing powder onto the Black cardstock "tiles" punched out with the Best Label Punch. For a touch of bling, I added three strips of Glitter Washi Tape to the designer series paper layer. To make my monster a little less "scary" I added googly eyes to the image.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own wonderful projects for Fall and Halloween. There are so many wonderful products to explore to help you get creative.

We Create August Blog Hop Sale-a-Bration Coordination

Let's start off the new month with the We Create August Blog Hop. This month we are showcasing Sale-a-bration Coordination as we celebrate the final month of Sale-a-bration for 2022. There are so many amazing products that you can earn free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration that can be found in the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. We will be sharing projects to help you see all the wonderful possibilities when you combine products from these catalogs.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so it was an easy choice for my card design today. I love the new Bewitching Bundle from July-December 2022 Mini Catalog and I thought the hats and boots would work well not only as a fun Halloween card but also as a sassy birthday card. The Silver & Gold 6"x6" Specialty Paper from the Sale-a-bration Catalog, makes a great background and I love how easy it is to blend colors with blending brushes to transform it. For my color combination, I chose Gorgeous Grape and Parakeet Party for a bright and fun look. I kept the embellishments simple, adding some Gold stars punched out with the Witch Hat Builder Punch.

Bewitching Bundle (item #159857)
Best Witches stamp set (item #159860)

Scalloped Sentiment Label die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Large Circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
Scrap piece for the stamped and punched Witch's Hat using the Bewitching Bundle
This card design is so much fun and can be used for so much more than Halloween. I love the bright color combination of Gorgeous Grape with Parakeet Party and the gold polka dots and punched stars add a wonderful sparkle. The Witch's Hat is easy to stamp and punch out with the Bewitching Bundle and I colored the polka dots and band with Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Markers to add a pop of color. For the boots, I heat embossed the image using Black embossing powder to add some shine and then I colored the stripes on the stockings with Parakeet Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers. I added a piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon behind the focal circle to add some sparkle and texture to the design. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Black embossing powder to coordinate with the boots. For the background, I blended Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape Classic inks onto a piece of the Gold polka dot paper from the Silver & Gold Specialty Paper to help make the focal image pop. I love how this card design turned out and how well the specialty paper coordinated with the Bewitching Bundle.

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Strip Card Challenge Blog Hop as we share our projects and ideas to help inspire you to use up the left-over strips you have in your stash. Or Design Team members will be sharing some fun techniques and tricks to help spark your creativity to create your own fun card designs.
Today I decided to create a fun birthday card using the new Hippest Hippos stamp set, which you can earn Free with a qualifying $50 order during Sale-a-bration. In addition, I also used the coordinating Hippo Dies, which are also a free Sale-a-bration product you can earn free with a qualifying $50 order. I love how they provide so many wonderful options for creating fun designs. For my strip background, I used Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper from the 2022-2024 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack and stamped the white strips with the stars image from the Best Witches stamp set, which can found in the new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. This color combination is perfect for the 4th of July holiday and has a wonderful Summer feel to it.

Starry Sky 2 strips - 3/4" x 3 1/2"

This bright, cheerful birthday card was so much fun to create. The combination of Starry Sky, Sweet Sorbet and Basic White works well for a patriotic themed card and works well for people of all ages. To liven up the Basic White strips, I stamped them with the stars image from the Best Witches stamp set in both Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet Classic inks to tie in with the celebration theme. The cute hippo image has been colored with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers and I used the Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker to color the toenails and mouth. I die cut the party hat and sunglasses from Sweet Sorbet cardstock and I heat embossed the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set with White embossing powder to coordinate with the color theme. To add a touch of bling, I added several Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the sentiment label for a little sparkle.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to look at strips in a whole new way to help you create your own wonderful designs. There are so many great options to explore.
