Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights September 2020

Today I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights for September. I am joining a wonderful group of talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as we share beautiful designs with the theme of Thank You. I hope that you are inspired by our ideas and projects.
Today I am sharing a fun Thank You card that I created with my son's teachers in mind. I discovered this wonderful Chalkboard Easel technique from fellow Demonstrator, Debbie Henderson, and I just had to create my own version. This clean and simple design features the So Sentimental stamp set (item #151691) and I used the Apple Builder Punch (item #150663) and the Sprig Punch (item #148012) to decorate the card. This card design works great for both male and female teachers.
Products Used: (can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog)
So Sentimental stamp set (item #151691)
Apple Builder Punch (item #150663)
Sprig Punch (item #148012)
Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (item #152320)
White Embossing Powder (item #109132)
Whisper White Stampin' Ink Pad & Refill (item #147277)
Sponge Daubers
Stampin' Seal Adhesive (item #152813)
Measurements:
Soft Suede Cardstock Card Base - 4 1/4" x 11" (Scored at 5 1/2")
Cut opening at the base of the card - 3/4" from each side up to the 1" mark with Paper Trimmer
Cut across from the 3/4" mark to 3 1/2" mark and remove rectangle (cut through both layers of card base)
Soft Suede Cardstock - 4 strips 3/4" x 5 1/2" (Embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder
Basic Black Cardstock piece - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"

The sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set has been heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I rubbed a small amount of Craft Whisper White ink across the Basic Black cardstock with a tissue to create the look of a chalkboard. The apple was punched from a scrap of Real Red cardstock and I used a Sponge Dauber to sponge the apple with Real Red Classic ink. The leaves were punched from Old Olive cardstock and sponged with Pear Pizzazz Classic ink. The stem was punched out from a scrap piece of the embossed Soft Suede cardstock and sponged with Crumb Cake Classic ink. The sprig was punched from Crushed Curry cardstock and sponged with Crushed Curry Classic ink. The Soft Suede cardstock strips were embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Powder and I sponged them with Crumb Cake Classic ink to bring out the detail of the wood grain. I attached the top and bottom strips to the card front first and trimmed off the excess cardstock. I then added the upright strips on top along the sides of the card front to complete the design. This clean and simple card fits in a standard size envelope and I love the way it stands up to look like an old fashioned chalkboard easel.

GSF Pick A Bundle Blog Hop

Welcome to the GSF Pick A Bundle Blog Hop as we feature Bundles from the new 2019 Holiday Catalog and 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to help provide you with ideas to create your own fun projects. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas to help inspire you.
For my card design today, I thought I would share the wonderful Harvest Hellos Bundle (item #153037) which features the Harvest Hellos stamp set (item #150581) and coordinating Apple Builder Punch (item #150663). This bundle is great for creating Fall and Halloween projects and so much more. When you order the bundle you save 10%, which makes it very budget friendly.
Using this bundle I created a cute Halloween card design using Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the card base and I added a Basic Black cardstock frame that I die cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #148551) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I embossed the frame using the new Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (item #150646) from the Holiday Catalog to add some wonderful texture. I sponged the embossed surface with Delicata Silvery Shimmer Pigment ink (item #150709) to create a distressed look to the frame.
To create the Jack o lantern, I stamped the image from the Harvest Hellos stamp set using Pumpkin Pie Classic ink and colored the image with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. To stamp the face image, I used the Stamparatus to line up the image on the pumpkin and stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I punched out the image using the Apple Builder Punch and added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back. For the leaves and the stem, I stamped the leaves using Old Olive Classic ink and the stem with Crumb Cake Classic ink. Then I colored them images with the Stampin' Blends Markers and fussy cut them with Paper Snips. I attached these pieces to the pumpkin image using Snail Adhesive.
For the background inside the frame, I chose a piece of the Purple Posy Gingham paper from the 2019-2021 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #149617), cut 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" and attached it to the card base with Snail Adhesive. I added the embossed Basic Black frame with Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure that the designer series paper was lined up inside the frame. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Versamark ink onto Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed it using Shimmer Black Embossing powder (itme #149512) to add a little sparkle. I used the Ornate Frames Dies (item #150664) to cut out the sentiment with one of the label dies and I added it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. For added sparkle, I used Clear Wink of Stella to color over the face of the Jack o lantern. This is a fun, colorful alternative for a Halloween card that is sure to make people smile.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try the amazing bundles that Stampin' Up! has to offer in their catalogs. SBTD 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers By the Dozen (SBTD) 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop. To celebrate the occasion this month our theme is Stamper's Choice. You will be visiting with my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as we share our fun project ideas to help inspire you.

Today I chose to create my card design using the new Harvest Hellos Bundle from the new 2019 Holiday Catalog that will launch on September 4th. I love this fun stamp set that features apples and pumpkins to create Fall themed cards and there is a coordinating Apple Builder Punch to make life easier.
I started with a Granny Apple Green cardstock card base and created a frame using Soft Suede cardstock and the Rectangle Stitched Dies and then embossed the frame using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder to create the look of a wood frame.
I cut a layer of Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment using Shimmer White Embossing Powder to give the look of writing with chalk on a chalkboard.
To create the apple, I stamped the apple, leaf and stem images onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the images with Stampin' Blends Markers. I punched out the images using the Apple Builder Punch and attached them to the card front, using Snail Adhesive for the stem and the leaf and Stampin' Demensionals for the apple. To add a little bling, I colored three of the medium size Basic Pearls with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the card front.

This cute card is perfect for giving to a teacher to help them through the early days of going back to school and is suitable for both male and female teachers.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card design today and I hope that it will inspire you to explore creating your own projects. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Now it's time to visit Courtenay's blog and see what she has to share with us this month. Just click the Next button below to visit her blog. I hope that you enjoy the rest of this month's blog hop.
