My inspiration for today's Christmas card comes from the Christmas song, I'll Be Home For Christmas. When I saw the cute owl image and coordinating sentiment in the Christmas Friends Bundle, I just knew that it was the perfect match. I wanted to keep my design nice and simple and I love that the Snowfall Sky 3D Embossing Folder adds wonderful texture to the Basic White card front without being overwhelming. I love using Balmy Blue for Winter themed cards I thought it added just the right touch of frostiness to the background behind the owl image.

To create this cute and festive card design, I started with a Balmy Blue cardstock card base and added a Basic White card front that I embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder to add subtle background texture. For the owl image, I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and used the coordinating die to die cut him out and then colored him with Stampin' Blends Markers to bring him to life. I love how the Poppy Parade Santa hat adds just a pop of color to make him festive and cheerful. I applied some soft color to the Basic White circle using a Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue Classic ink. For the sentiment label, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder to help make it pop and tie in with the color theme for this card design. For a touch of bling, I added several of the Gold Adhesive Backed Snowflakes and added small Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the center of each of the snowflakes for a touch of elegance. I love the images and coordinating sentiments in the Christmas Friends stamp set and the wonderful coordinating dies make it easy to create fun cards for the holidays.
