Stamping Inkspirations May Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations May Blog Hop and this month we have a Sketch Challenge to help spark our creativity. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore using the sketch below to help you create your own beautiful designs.
For my sketch challenge design, I chose to use one of the beautiful sheets from the new Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper to create the background layout. For the sentiment, I chose to use the new Simply Said stamp set, which is becoming one of my new go-to stamp sets for all occasion sentiments. I love the combination of the new 2024-2026 In Colors, Petunia Pop and Summer Splash. The accent strips are the reverse side of the card front and add a wonderful contrast to the design.

For my version of the sketch challenge, I wanted to keep it clean and simple. As you can see, I chose to use the designer series paper for my background layer and then cut three strips using the reverse side for the accents.
Products Used:
Simply Said stamp set (item #163756)
Everyday Details Dies (item #162864)
Unbound Beauty Designer Series Paper (item #163372)
Petunia Pop Cardstock (item #163801)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Summer Splash Classic Ink Pad (item #163809)
2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (item #163781)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Petunia Pop Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with the Everyday Details Dies
Unbound Beauty Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Top Strip - 1/2" x 2 3/4"
Middle Strip - 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Bottom Strip - 1/2" x 3 3/4"

I love the simplicity of this card sketch layout and I thought the tone on tone design was perfect for the card front layer. I added it to the Petunia Pop card base with Stampin' Dimensionals to help pop it up. The reverse side strips add a wonderful contrast to the Petunia Pop layer and the small flowers help tie it in with the rest of the card design. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Summer Splash Classic ink onto the Basic White sentiment label. I love how the Summer Splash ink helps add contrast to the card design. To finish off the card, I added several of the Summer Splash Shimmer Gems for a touch of sparkle.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful cards using this sketch. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore. The new 2024-2026 In Colors have so many coordinating products that are perfect for this style of card.
