Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 11 - Poppy Parade

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge and for Week 11 we are showcasing Poppy Parade, from the Brights Collection. This beautiful bold red is a very powerful color and I wanted to make sure I created a card design that showed the beauty of this color without being overwhelming.
For my card design, I chose to use the new Latte Love Bundle, one of the new Online Exclusives just released this month. For my color combination, I chose to pair Poppy Parade with Basic, Black, Basic White and a touch of Pecan Pie to help balance out the design. I love the contrast between these colors and how they all work so well together.

Even though I am not a coffee drinker, I couldn't resist using the Latte Love Bundle to create this fun card design. I love the way to coffee cups look colored in with the Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Markers and how they pop against the Basic Black circles that I used to frame them. For the "coffee" part of the cups, I stamped the images with Pecan Pie Classic ink to create the look of a latte and I blended some of the Pecan Pie ink to tone down the Basic White edges for the bottom cup of coffee. For the background, I used one of the designs from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper to add some texture and dimension to the design. I love how this design pops against the Basic Black card base and circles to tie it all together. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and die cut it out with one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies. To complete the card design, I colored two of the Iridescent Pearls with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Marker to add a touch of bling to the sentiment label. I love how this card turned out and how it showcases this beautiful, vibrant red. What do you think about Poppy Parade? Do you love this beautiful red as much as I do? Let me know in the comments.
