Around The World On Wednesday August Blog Hop Let's Shake Things Up

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday August Blog Hop and this month our theme is Let's Shake Things Up. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you.
This cute shaker card features the adorable Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper, which is a Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying $50 order. For the sentiment, I used the Double Ovals Punch with the sentiment from the Penguin Place stamp set from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. I love the way this card design showcases the beautiful paper while adding some sparkle and fun for the holidays.

This fun shaker card is simple to create and a great way to showcase pretty designer series paper. I slid the piece of designer series paper inside the clear envelope and folded the top edge over to create a snug fit across the front and attached the flap to the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I then added the Subtle Shimmer Sequins inside the front of the envelope so that they sprinkle over the front of the card. I attached the end flap to the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive so that it is snug so the sequins can't get out and spread to the back of the card. I attached this layer to the Misty Moonlight cardstock layer with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Using the Light Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends Marker, colored both pieces of Glittered Organdy ribbon and attached the longer piece accross the bottom of the card front and attached the ends to the back. With the shorter piece of ribbon, I tied a knot around the longer piece on the right side of the card front and trimmed the edges. I then attached this layer to the Balmy Blue card base. To complete the card design, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Penguin Place stamp set with White Embossing Powder onto the Misty Moonlight cardstock oval and then attached it to the Balmy Blue Scalloped Oval. I attached the sentiment label to the top right corner of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love the way the clear envelope creates a pocket to hold the sequins so that when you shake the card, they move around the card front. It's so much fun and sure to bring a smile to the person receiving it.
