Today I have created a traditional style Christmas card using the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love the vintage feel of this designer series paper and I think that when you see holly leaves and berries, you automatically think of Christmas. For the sentiment label, I used one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and I love the scalloped edges and stitched detail that really helps step up the card design. The gold embossing just adds a touch of elegance to this vintage style Christmas card.

I love creating clean and simple card designs with designer series paper and it is a great way to create multiple cards with the same design. The Wow factor for this card is the embellishments and helps to transform the design with just a few simple supplies. The sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and I popped up the sentiment label with Stampin' Dimensionals to help it stand out. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the holly leaves to add some shimmer and to bring out the embossed lines in the leaves. I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to add the leaves to the card front so that they overlapped the sentiment label. Using a small piece of the Old Olive Gold Trimmed Satin Ribbon from the All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack, I added it to the sentiment label with Glue Dots and added the holly berries on top with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional. For a touch of bling, I added Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the holly berry die cut and I love how pretty it looks. Don't you just love the old fashioned feel of this Christmas card?
