We Create Making A Splash Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the We Create Making A Splash Blog Hop as we showcase projects for the month of June. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their ideas for this month's theme that are sure to cause a splash. I hope our projects inspire you to get creative.
For my card design, I chose to use the cute We'll Walrus Be Friends stamp set, which is retiring June 2nd. I love the cute images and sentiments in this stamp set and will be sad to see it go. I combined it with the #Share Sunshine PDF, which Stampin' Up! is offering until June 2nd, to raise funds for COVID 19 Charities. There are so many wonderful images and sentiments in this PDF that are perfect for what we are all facing right now and are great for sending out cards to people to show you care.
To create this card design, I chose the Silver Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes, which have sadly sold out. I added a layer of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (item #149497) to create the background. This pretty paper is also on the Last Chance Retirement list. I love the tone on tone medallion design of this paper for the background and the Pretty Peacock adds a nice contrast to the Pool Party I chose for this card design.
The focal image was created by stamping the Walrus image from the We'll Walrus Be Friends stamp set (item #149367) onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin' Blends Markers. I die cut the image using the Layering Circles Dies (item #151770) and created the matte from Pool Party cardstock with one of the scalloped circles dies. I attached the image to the card front with Snail Adhesive.
Using the Layering Ovals Dies, I die cut the sentiment from one of the printed pages of the Share Sunshine PDF that can be ordered here and added it to a layer of Pool Party cardstock that I die cut with one of the scalloped oval dies from the same die set. I attached the sentiment to the card front with Snail Adhesive, below the focal image. I love the combination of the sentiment from the Share Sunshine PDF with the cute images in this stamp set and it shows how many possibilities there are to create beautiful cards to send to friends and family during this challenging time. 100% of the proceeds of the Share Sunshine PDF go to charity.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own fun projects that will help brighten people's day.
