PPP March Blog Hop No Matter The Weather

Welcome to the PPP March Blog Hop as we showcase alternative project ideas using the No Matter The Weather Paper Pumpkin kit. This beautiful kit seems appropriate as we face new challenges in the world and a time when it's important to reach out to each other.
For my alternative card design, I chose to create a variation of one of the card designs included in the kit. I converted the note card into a full size card by cutting the note card in half along the fold line to 3 1/2" x 5". For the card base, I chose to use Balmy Blue cardstock and I added a layer of 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock to create a layer behind the note card layer.
To create the focal image, I used the boots and floral die cut images for this card design as well as the stitched circle die cut for the sentiment. To create the umbrella, I stamped the top of the umbrella image from the Under My Umbrella stamp set (item #151518) with Petal Pink Classic ink onto Petal Pink cardstock and the handle image was stamped with Basic Gray Classic ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I punched out the stamped images using the Umbrella Builder Punch (item #151293) and attached the handle to the middle of the umbrella with Snail Adhesive. I stamped the sentiment with Balmy Blue Classic ink onto the die cut stitched circle and stamped the medium and small hearts with Petal Pink Classic ink to decorate.
For the card background, I lightly sponged the light areas with So Saffron Classic ink with a Sponge Dauber to give the look of sunshine peeking through the clouds. Using Basic Gray Classic ink, I stamped the rain drops image randomly in the background. I attached the boots die cut to the grass area on the card front with Snail Adhesive and then added the floral die cut with Stampin' Dimensionals on top of the boot. I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the top of the umbrella and slid the handle underneath the floral die cut to hide part of it, pressing down on the top of the umbrella to adhere it to the card front. For the sentiment, I adhered it to the card front with Snail Adhesive, sliding it under the umbrella and floral die cut to create dimension. To finish off the card design, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers and leaves on the die cut for a touch of shimmer.
I love how this alternative card design turned out and how simple it was to convert the note card into a full size card. The Under My Umbrella Bundle (item #153786) coordinates beautifully with this kit and provides a variety of options with the images and sentiments.

3D Paper Trimmer March Blog Hop Easter

Welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer March Blog Hop as we showcase Easter projects created using Stampin' Up!'s Paper Trimmer. I hope you enjoy our projects this month.
I chose to decorate one of Stampin' Up!'s cute Mini Pizza Boxes (item 144645) to create a fun treat box and I decorated it using the beautiful Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper (item #153558) from the Product Coordination Release that ends March 31st. I love the pretty Spring colors and soft patterns that work well for this holiday.
To decorate the Mini Pizza Box, I cut a strip of 3 1/4" x 12" from the Petal Pink Gingham pattern of the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper. I then cut from this strip, one piece measuring 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and 4 strips measuring 3/4" x 3 1/4" to decorate the top and sides of the box. I attached the side strips using Snail Adhesive and cut around the half circle in the front of the box with Paper Snips.
For the top of the box, I die cut a strip of Soft Sea Foam cardstock using the grass die from the Special Day Dies (item #153587) and attached it to the bottom of the Petal Pink Gingham square and then attached it to the top of the box. I stamped the bunny image from the Welcome Easter stamp set (item #151559) with Smoky Slate Classic ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and I colored the image using the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Marker and the Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker. I blended both colors to soften them using the Color Lifter. Using Paper Snips, I fussy cut the bunny image out and attached it onto the Petal Pink Gingham square using Stampin' Dimensionals.

To create the umbrella, I punched out the Balmy Blue umbrella and handle images from the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper using the Umbrella Builder Punch (item #151293). I attached the handle to the gingham paper with Snail Adhesive so that the bottom of the handle was hidden behind the bunny. I attached the top of the umbrella to the top of the handle with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (item #146667) with Soft Sea Foam Classic ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch (item #141491). I attached the sentiment to the bottom of the box just below the bunny, using Snail Adhesive. To decorate the sentiment, I added two small flowers that I had left over from another project that were die cut using the Sending Flowers Dies (item #153589), with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional. I added a small Basic Rhinestone to the center of each flower for a touch of bling.
I love how this cute treat box turned out and it can be used for small gifts or to hold candy to give to someone for Easter. The Welcome Easter stamp set has several cute images that you could use to create a variety of designs to give to family and friends.

SBTD March Blog Hop CASE The Catalog

It's time to hop along with the SBTD March Blog Hop as we CASE the catalogs for inspiration. What does CASE mean? It can stand for Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit, but basically it means that we take a sample project shared in one of the Stampin' Up! catalogs and create our own version of it. I hope you enjoy the projects and ideas we have to share with you this month.
For my CASE, I chose a card on page 28 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog created using the Beautiful Moments stamp set (item #151677). This stunning stamp set was designed by $1 Million Sales Achiever, Jacque Williams, and I just love the wonderful images in this set. I chose to recreate the card using the two little girls on the beach because it reminded me of my daughters when they were young.
For my card design, I chose to use the same layout as the original card but I wanted to use a different color palette. I chose to use So Saffron cardstock for the card base and I added a layer of Seaside Spray cardstock that I embossed using the High Seas 3D Embossing Folder (item #149577). I traced the embossed wave patterns with Clear Wink of Stella to give the background a slight shimmer.
To create the focal design, I die cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (item #149638) and stamped the sentiment and the image of the girls with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the die cut. I colored the image using Seaside Spray, So Saffron, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. I also die cut a slightly larger die cut from So Saffron cardstock using the next largest die from the same die set. For the ribbon embellishment, I chose to use Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (item #146912) and attached it to the So Saffron die cut with Snail adhesive. I attached the focal panel to the So Saffron die cut with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals over the top of the ribbon.
To complete the card design, I attached the focal design to the card front using Snail adhesive, centering it on the card. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the colored image for a touch of sparkle to finish off the design.

I love how this card design turned out and how I was able to transform the original with just a few simple changes such as the colors I used, the ribbon for the embellishments, the embossing folder for the background and using Stampin' Blends Markers to color the image instead of a softer water color look. By CASEing the samples in the catalogs, you have endless opportunities to create your own beautiful projects and make them your own.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design inspires you to use the samples in the Stampin' Up! catalogs to create your own wonderful projects.
