Welcome to Kylie's International Blog Highlights for March as we showcase projects created by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Our theme is Thank You and it is one of the most common types of cards that we give to people on a daily basis. You will have the opportunity to visit and be inspired by talented demonstrators as they share their ideas to help jump start your creativity.Today's card design features the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I decided to pair this pretty paper with the Delicate Lace Dies (item #147053) and the Ornate Dies (item #150664) to create this elegant card design.
I chose Basic Black cardstock for the card base and added a layer of 4"x 5 1/4" Petal Pink cardstock that die cut the edge using the detailed lace die to create an elegant border. I attached a piece of 2 3/4" x 5" Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper to the Petal Pink cardstock layer and attached the layer to the card base with Snail Adhesive.
To create the sentiment, I stamped the Thank You image from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set (item #152729) onto Basic Black cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment using the small square shaped die from the Ornate Frames Dies and then layered it onto the coordinating detailed layer die cut from Petal Pink cardstock. I added two of the small Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling.
