Colour Combo February Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo February Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to use Pool Party, Merry Merlot and Pineapple Punch to create our project. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you.
My card design today has been created using products from the 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog. I chose to use the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set (item #152290), which can be earned Free with a qualifying $50 order and combined it with the coordinating Small Blooms Punch (item #152316), which can be earned Free with a qualifying $100 order. Whether you chose to use them separately or together, both of these products offer a lot of creative possibilities.
To create my card, I chose to use Pineapple Punch cardstock for the card base and I added a layer of Pool Party cardstock for the background. Using the larger leaf image, I stamped it several times onto the Pool Party cardstock to create and background and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.
The small flowers were created by stamping a variety of the flower images from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and punching them out using the Small Blooms Punch. I used a combination of Merry Merlot, Pool Party and Pineapple Punch Classic inks to create the variety of flowers. To decorate the background, I stamped the small dots image randomly onto the Pool Party cardstock. I added the punched out flowers to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and added Basic Rhinestones to the centers for a touch of bling.

The sentiment for this card design was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Pool Party Classic ink and I die cut it using the smallest die from the Layering Ovals Dies (item #151771) and layered it onto a scalloped oval die cut from Pineapple Punch cardstock using the same die set. I attached the sentiment to the card front with Snail Adhesive and added two small Basic Rhinestones to finish off the design. I love the dimension that the punched flowers add to this card design and the pretty Spring feeling this stamp set creates.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design inspires you to explore using punches in your projects as a way to add fun and dimension.
