We Create Have A Heart Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create Have A Heart Blog Hop as we showcase projects that celebrate occasions of the heart. Whether you need inspiration for Valentine's Day or for a special anniversary, birthday or other milestone occasion, you will find a wonderful collection of projects in our blog hop this month to help you.
This week I have been sick with the flu, so my creative time has been very limited. So today I am sharing a card I created using the Kerchief Card Kit from the 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog, that you can earn Free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying $50 order. This beautiful card kit has the supplies you need to create 8 beautiful cards, 4 each of 2 pretty designs. I decided to step this card design up by using the Heartfelt Bundle (item #153775) from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder (item #151823) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. When you place an order for both of these products, you can earn the Kerchief Card Kit for Free.
I chose to use the printed card base that featured the Poppy Parade and Petal Pink color combination and decorated it with a piece of the plain Vellum cardstock included in the kit, that I embossed using the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I liked that the impression from the embossing folder coordinated with the background floral on the card base. I attached the embossed vellum to the card base using some Snail Adhesive in the center of the vellum so that it would be hidden when I added the heart.
To create the heart sentiment label, I punched out a scalloped heart from Petal Pink cardstock using the Scalloped Heart Punch from the Heart Punch Pack. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Heartfelt stamp set onto a scrap of Poppy Parade cardstock using Shimmer White Embossing Powder and punched it out using the Heart Punch also from the Heart Punch Pack. I love how these two punches coordinate so that they layer beautifully to create this pretty sentiment label. I added Snail Adhesive to the back of the label and added one of the Gold Foil flowers to the top right side and the Gold Foil leaves to the bottom left side and attached the heart to the center of the vellum with Stampin' Dimensionals.
For a touch of bling, I added two of the small Champagne Rhinestones (item #151193) to the opposite corners of the embossed vellum to balance out the design. For the coordinating envelope, I embossed the flap using the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder to dress it up. The Kerchief Card Kit is a wonderful way to create beautiful cards and you have the choice to create them as they come in the kit or change them up as I have done to create something completely new.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will inspire you to create your own gifts from the heart to share with the people you love.

  2. What a great twist on that FREE Kit! I'll admit, I didn't like this kit much at first because it feels so overwhelmingly flowery...but I like the card you made with it. Embossing the vellum is a great touch, and it coordinates so beautifully. Thanks for sharing :-D
