We Create Neutrals Collection Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create Neutrals Collection Blog Hop as we showcase the beautiful colors in Stampin' Up!'s Neutrals Collection. Often people think of neutral colors as dull and boring so we are sharing projects that will help you to see just how versatile these colors can be when creating your own projects.
For my Christmas card design, I chose to use Night of Navy with Merry Merlot and a touch of Mossy Meadow for my color choices and combined it with the Christmas Gleaming Bundle from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. I love the way these three colors work together and combined with Whisper White and Silver, I was able to create a clean and simple elegant Christmas card. I chose to use Night of Navy cardstock for my card base and added a layer of Merry Merlot cardstock as the background. I stamped the smaller ornament image from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in Merry Merlot Classic ink to create a tone on tone background design on the Merry Merlot cardstock layer.
For the label, I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies (item #149638) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and cut the larger label from Silver Foil and the smaller label from Whisper White cardstock. I embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder towards to center of the Whisper White label and attached it to the Silver Foil label with Snail Adhesive.
Using one of the larger ornament stamps from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set, I stamped the image with Versamark onto Night of Navy cardstock and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I used the larger of the ornament punches from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (item #150647) to punch out the stamped image. (Did you know that if you order both the stamp set and punch pack as the Gleaming Christmas Bundle (item #153006), you can save 10%? It's a great way to stay within your budget). I attached the ornament to the label with a combination of Snail Adhesive and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish off the card design, I stamped the holly image with Versamark onto Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. Using an Aquapainter, I colored the leaves with Mossy Meadow Classic ink and the berries with Merry Merlot Classic ink. I colored the entire image with Clear Wink of Stella to add a touch of shimmer. Using Paper Snips, I fussy cut the image and attached it to the top of the ornament on the label using Snail Adhesive and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Taking a piece of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (item #146912), I tied a knot and added it to the top of the ornament with a Mini Glue Dot. To decorate the label, I added a large Basic Rhinestone to the point for a touch of bling.
