PPP Blog Hop The Gift of Fall

Welcome to the August PPP Blog Hop as we showcase alternative project ideas for The Gift of Fall Paper Pumpkin kit. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators as they share their creations to help you think outside of the box for your own projects.

Today I am sharing to alternative card designs that I created using supplies from the August Gift of Fall Kit along with two of the card bases from the Gift of Fall Add On Bundle (item #152885 Price $10)that you can order separately from my Online Store. This bundle contains 24 note card bases that you can use with the supplies in the August kit to create your own note cards. There are 12 of each card base in two different designs and the Fall colors coordinate beautifully with the Paper Pumpkin kit to make it easy for you.

My first card design features the card base with the color wash background and I attached a white banner from the kit to the card base and layered one of Vellum floral embellishments onto the banner and attached it with Mini Glue dots from the kit. I then took one of the Merry Merlot die cut circles and attached it to the banner with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped using one of the images from the exclusive stamp set onto one of the Crumb Cake labels in the kit and heat embossed using Copper Embossing Powder. I attached the label to the Merry Merlot circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added a small bow that I tied with the pretty yellow seam binding from the kit and attached it to the top of the circle with a Mini Glue dot. For a touch of bling, I added one of the Gold Sequins from the kit to the bottom of the circle, below the sentiment label. I just love the warm, vibrant Fall colors for this card design and how easy it was to put this card together.
My second card design is a simple fun fold with the sentiment on a flap. To create the "arm" for the flap, I took a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it to 1"x3" and scored it at 2". I attached the 1" flap to the back of the card base with Snail Adhesive, making sure to center the strip of cardstock so that it lay over the center of the wreath image on the front of the card. I added the card base to a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut to 5"x3 3/4" using Snail Adhesive, holding the arm in place.
To create the label, I punched out a 2" circle from Blackberry Bliss cardstock and another from Pretty Peacock cardstock using the 2" Circle Punch. I attached both circles on either side of the Crumb Cake strip, making sure that they lined up on top of each other with the Blackberry Bliss on the front and the Pretty Peacock on the back. I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set with Copper Embossing powder onto one of the Crumb Cake labels from the kit. Using the Everyday Label Punch, I punched out a label from Pretty Peacock cardstock to create a matte for the sentiment label. Using Snail Adhesive, I attached the two labels together, sandwiching the Blackberry Bliss leaf embellishment between the two layers on the top right corner. I attached the label to the Blackberry Bliss circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To add a pop of color, I tied a piece of the seam binding around the Crumb Cake strip so that it was flush against the label. For a touch of bling, I added three of the Gold Sequins to the card base to finish off the card design. Once again, I used mainly supplies from the kit with the card base from the Add On Bundle (item #152885) to create this beautiful note card with a twist.
