2019 Kre8tors Spring Color Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2019 Kre8tors Spring Color Challenge Blog Hop. This month we have been challenged to create a project using at least 3 of the beautiful Spring colors from the image below. I hope that the projects we share will help inspire you to create your own beautiful creations.
For my card design for this color challenge, I decided to create a simple geometric design to emphasize the bold, bright colors. I used Basic Black cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Gray Granite cardstock to create the matte for the focal layer. The contrast of these two neutrals really helps the brighter colors to pop.
Using the Incredible Like You stamp set (item #148708) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, I chose the striped lines image to stamp each of the five colors onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, in the following order: Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody. I really love how these colors combine to create this wonderful design.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock using White embossing powder. I used the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) to punch out the sentiment and attached it to the card front.
To complete the card design, I colored some Basic Pearls using the Dark Mango Melody, Dark Granny Apple Green and Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Markers to add a pop of color to the sentiment tag.
This card design shows how you can take images from a stamp set to create a fun background using a variety of colors for a completely different look. I bet you will look at the Incredible Like You stamp set in a completely different way now that you have seen this card design. Clean and simple card designs are a wonderful way to build your stash of cards to send to the people you love.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to explore creating with these wonderful colors to create your own projects.
