Ink. Stamp. Share Christmas Packaging Blog Hop

Welcome to November's Ink. Stamp. Share Christmas Packaging Blog Hop. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as they share their fun and creative packaging ideas to help inspire you. You may have just visited Jo's blog or perhaps you are starting with me. I hope that our projects will help provide you with a wealth of ideas for the holidays.
I love creating gift tags as a fun way to decorate and personalize a gift. These gift tags were created using the Snowflake Showcase products that are only available in November while supplies last. I chose to use Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce cardstock for my color palette and used the Gold Glimmer paper from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog to create the beautiful snowflakes with the Snowfall Thinlets dies.

These tags are fun to create from you scraps of cardstock and the tag itself is created from a piece of 2" x 3 3/4" cardstock that I have punched using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (item #133324). The strip of cardstock at the bottom is a 3/4" x 2" piece of the alternate color and the circle of cardstock behind the snowflakes were punched using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch (item #119850).
The background of the tag has been embossed using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #139672) to add a little texture to the cardstock. The sentiment is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set (item #149742) and I heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock and punch it out using the Classic Label punch (item #141491). To finish off the tags I added Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling and the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim  (item #147808) for the ties at the top.

Gift tags are a wonderful way to get creative and use up your scraps. Each tag can be unique and you can coordinate them with the colors and designs of the wrapping paper for an extra touch. With the products in the Snowflake Showcase, you can create endless designs quickly and simply.
