Colour Combo January 2019 Blog Hop

It's time for the first Colour Combo Blog Hop of 2019 and this month we have been challenged to create a project using Gorgeous Grape, Cajun Craze and Coastal Cabana. You will be visiting blogs from Stampin' Up! demonstrators all over the world sharing their ideas and projects for this color combination. I hope that you will be inspired by what we have to share.
My card design features one of the new Sale-a-bration Level 1 rewards, the Hello Cupcake stamp set. I just love the images in this stamp set and the fun sentiments. It is perfect for celebrating a variety of occasions from birthdays to just cheering someone up who is having a bad day.

I chose Coastal Cabana cardstock for my card base and added a Gorgeous Grape cardstock frame that I created using the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits (item #148551) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I just love these amazing dies and they have so many wonderful combinations.

I stamped the cupcake base with Cajun Craze Classic ink onto a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock, towards the bottom and the sentiment towards the top. I stamped the sprinkles below the cupcake base with Gorgeous Grape and Coastal Cabana Classic inks.

On a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the base of the cupcake again with Cajun Craze Classic ink and the cupcake frosting twice, in Gorgeous Grape Classic ink and Coastal Cabana Classic ink. I fussy cut each piece out and attached them to the Very Vanilla card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a little bling and sparkle, I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the cupcake and the sprinkles.

This wonderfully versatile stamp set can be earned Free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration. If you live in the U.S. and do not have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

What's New at SU Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Welcome to the What's New at SU Blog Hop and we are starting off 2019 by celebrating Sale-abration, one of Stampin' Up!'s most amazing promotions. Travel along our blog hop and visit demonstrators from around the world as they share their wonderful, creative ideas. You may have just visited Pat's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey with me. I hope that you will enjoy all the projects we have to share with you today.

For my card design today, I decided to feature the Beautiful By The Bay stamp set from the 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog. You can earn this Level 1 stamp set for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration.

I just love water coloring and the images in this stamp set are perfect for this technique. I stamped the image with Stazon Jet Black ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that I die cut using the 2nd largest die from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits (item # 148551) in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I used the largest and 3rd largest dies from this set to create the frame from a piece of Soft Suede cardstock and embossed it using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder (item #143708). I distressed the frame using a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede Classic ink.
To water color the image, I used a variety of Classic ink pad colors and an aquapainter to color the image. The aquapainter makes it easy to apply color to different areas and control the flow of ink to provide a soft wash.

To complete the card, I used Snail Adhesive to build the card and added a sentiment from the stamp set that I heat embossed with Gold embossing powder onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock. I die cut the sentiment with one of the Bunch of Banners Framelits dies from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and distress the banner with Soft Suede Classic ink.

This card design would be perfect for a masculine birthday card. I hope that you will give this stamp set a try and explore all the wonderful possibilities it has to offer. Now it's time to visit Joyce's blog and see what she has to share with us. Just click the Next button to visit her blog or you can click the Previous button to visit Pat's blog.

GSF Memories & More Blog Hop

Welcome to the January GSF Memories & More Blog Hop. This month we are featuring Memories & More products and sharing ideas to help inspire you to create your own fun projects. This month I am focusing on the New Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack (item #148531) and coordinating Happiness Blooms Memories & More Cards & Envelopes (item #148806) that can be found in the New 2019 Occasions Catalog.

The card pack is perfect for making quick and simple cards as can be seen by this card design, created using one of the 4"x6" cards from the card pack and adhering it to the Night of Navy large note card from the cards & envelopes pack. I just love the vibrant colors and the detail on the envelope flap.

This card already has the birthday sentiment printed onto it so there is no need for stamping. You can just put it in the envelope and it's ready to give to someone. Quick and simple card making with minimal supplies and no stress.

Now I want to show you how you can step up this card design by adding some stamped images using the Geared Up Garage Bundle (item #150610) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. By sampling stamping the car onto Real Red cardstock and the toolbox onto Crushed Curry cardstock with Stazon Jet Black ink, I have personalized this card and made it more masculine. No need to fussy cut the images when you have the coordinating thinlets dies in the bundle to cut them out with your Big Shot.

To complete the card you simply attach the images to the card front with Snail Adhesive and add some Basic Pearls that have been colored using the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Marker. This card design would be great for a teenager or a car buff and you can change the colors to personalize it for the person receiving it. As you can see, masculine cards don't need to be dull and boring.
The Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack contains a variety of card designs in 2 different sizes that coordinate with the two sizes of note cards in the Happiness Blooms Cards & Envelopes pack, for easy card making. The card designs feature bold, vibrant colors and designs that can be used for a variety of occasions. There are also 4 sticker sheets that you can use to embellish your cards.

By combining these two Memories & More products, you can create cards in advance so that you will always be prepared for whatever occasion comes along. By adding other products, like the Geared Up Garage Bundle, you can step up your card designs and create wonderful masculine cards for your friends and family.

I hope that my cards have helped inspire you to try Memories & More products for your creative projects. The possibilities are endless and can be so much fun.

We Create The Blues Blog Hop

Happy New Year!
Welcome to the first We Create Blog Hop of 2019 and this month's theme is "The Blues". My card features products from the New 2019 Occasions Catalog and the 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog as a sneak peek ready for their launch on January 3rd.

My card design features the beautiful Balmy Blue, which is one of the new colors recently added to the Stampin' Up! collection. Using the Balmy Blue cardstock for my card base, I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock with a 2" strip of the New Gingham Gala 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #148554) in Balmy Blue. I chose the side with the smaller check design but you could just as easily use the larger check pattern on the reverse side.

The focal point has been created using the Piece of Cake Bundle (item #150579) which features the Piece of Cake photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Cake Builder Punch. I heat embossed the stamped images with Silver embossing powder and punched them out with the punch. I colored the images using the new Light and Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Markers as well as the Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blend Marker.

I layered the pieces onto a 2" Whisper White cardstock circle punched out with the 2" Circle Punch and layered in onto a piece of Silver Foil punched out with the Starburst Punch. I just love the way that the silver looks with the blue. The punched out cake pieces have been attached with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals for extra dimension. I added piece of Balmy Blue Organdy Ribbon, from the Sale-a-bration Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, to the center of the card base and adhered the focal design over the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals. I tied a small bow using the ribbon and added it below the design.

To create the sentiment, I heat embossed the Happy Birthday from the stamp set with Silver embossing powder onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and created a banner look using the Tailored Tag Punch.

To finish off the card design, I added a touch of bling with Basic Rhinestones for a little sparkle. After all, everyone should have a little sparkle on their birthday.

I just love how these new products work together. Did you know that if you placed an order for the Piece of Cake Bundle, Gingham Gala 6"x6" Designer Series Paper and the Balmy Blue Combo Stampin' Blends Pack during Sale-a-bration (starting January 3rd), you could choose the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack as your Free Sale-a-bration product. This amazing pack contains 1 roll each of 5 beautiful colors of Organdy Ribbon - Balmy Blue, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist (5 yards per roll). This pack of ribbon coordinates perfectly with the colors in the Gingham Gala DSP pack to help you create beautiful projects.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card design today and I hope it inspires you to create your own cards for 2019. Now it's time to visit Julie's blog and see what she has to share with us this month. Just click the Next button below to visit her blog. I hope you enjoy the rest of our blog hop.

Until Next Time.
