Welcome to the Colour Combo November Blog Hop with this month's Color Challenge featuring So Saffron, Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! For my card design today, I am sharing a Sneak Peek of a new stamp set from the upcoming January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. The Blessings of Home stamp set has a combination of beautiful floral images and wonderful sentiments to create cards for all occasions. I decided to use a watercolor technique using a Blender Pen and Classic ink to color this beautiful image.

This clean and simple card design features a couple of simple techniques. The first one is heat embossing an image with Classic ink. I inked up the floral image with Versamark and then inked it up with Blackberry Bliss Classic ink before stamping it onto the center of the Basic White cardstock. I then applied Clear embossing powder and tapped off the excess before heat embossing it. This gives the image a beautiful Blackberry Bliss embossed image that is perfect for watercoloring. The second technique I used with this card design, is watercoloring with Classic inks and a Blender Pen. I squeezed the closed ink pads so that some of the ink transferred to the inside of the lid. I then used this ink to apply color to the image with the Blender Pen. I layered the color to give the flowers depth and dimension. I used So Saffron Classic ink for the small flowers at the top of the image and for the centers of the flowers. I used Blackberry Bliss Classic ink to color the two larger flowers and the Blushing Bride Classic ink to color the medium size flowers. For the leaves, I used the Clear Wink of Stella to color them to give them a golden shimmer. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image onto the Blackberry Bliss cardstock strip  with Silver embossing powder and attached it across the bottom of the card front. For a touch of bling, I added small Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the sentiment strip and card front to complete the design. I love how soft and pretty this card looks and how these colors give the card a vintage feel.

Colour Combo November Blog Hop

 

It's time to explore the world of color with the Colour Combo November Blog Hop. This month we have been challenged to use Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose to create our projects. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their amazing projects and ideas with you.

When I saw this month's color combination, I thought of Summer time and the beach. I decided to create this clean and simple card design using the Seaside Notions stamp set (item #149278) from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I love the softness of the watercolor look with these colors and used the Clear Wink of Stella with ink to create a soft shimmer.

Whisper White cardstock for stamped images

This pretty card design is simple to create with just a few layers and a little fussy cutting. To create the background for the card design, I stamped the sand with Daffodil Delight Classic ink and added the seaweed on the right side with Coastal Cabana Classic ink.  I stamped the sea horse, sea shell and sand dollar onto Whisper White cardstock and water colored the images using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and the Classic Ink in Coastal Cabana for the sea horse, Rococo Rose for the sea shell and Daffodil Delight for the sand dollar. I fussy cut out the images and added them to the Whisper White cardstock layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Coastal Cabana Classic ink and added several Basic Rhinestones that I colored with the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends Marker for a touch of bling.

Around The World On Wednesday May Blog Hop All Things Crafty Favorite Coloring Tools

I am so glad  you could join our Around The World On Wednesday May Blog this month as we share our projects created with our favorite coloring tools. This month we also have Emma Goddard, as our special guest, hopping along with us. I hope that our projects inspire you to try new coloring tools and techniques when creating your own projects.

 I love coloring, so it was difficult to choose a favorite coloring tool to share for today's project. In the end, I decided to choose Stampin' Up!'s amazing Watercolor Pencils and I paired it with a Blender Pen to create a soft watercolor look but still have the vibrant colors that love. I used colors from both the original Watercolor Pencils pack (item #141709) and the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 pack for my color palette. The colors I chose included Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Rich Razzleberry, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and a touch of Calypso Coral. 

 To create this card design, I chose Granny Apple Green cardstock for my card base and added a layer of Thick Whisper White cardstock that I heat embossed the image from the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp (item #151612) with Gold Embossing Powder. I am a big fan of heat embossing and I thought that the Gold embossing just stepped the design up to the next level and helped make the colors pop.

I colored the different images using the various watercolor pencil colors and then used the Blender Pen (item #102845 set of 3 pens) to blend and soften the colors and remove any harsh pencil lines. I attached the colored Whisper White panel to the card base with Snail Adhesive. To create the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (item #151331) with Gold Embossing Powder onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and die cut the sentiment using one of the Ornate Frames Dies (item #150664). I attached the sentiment to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and added two Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling. The bright colors of this card design remind me of a Spring garden and I love the cheerful feel of this design.
