Around The World On Wednesday May Blog Hop Sketch 101

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday May Blog Hop and this month we have a Sketch Challenge. Our Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas using the sketch below to help inspire you. Sketches are a wonderful way to spark creativity and help you step outside your comfort zone.
For my card design, I chose to use products from the Heart & Home Suite in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. For the overlapping layers, I chose to use the scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours Dies and the designer series paper layer was die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Both of these dies are almost the same size, which made them perfect to replicate the sketch design. The floral stamp image is from the Blessings of Home stamp set and coordinates with the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper layer I chose for this card. I love how this card turned out using this sketch to create this clean and simple design.
Products Used:
Blessings Of Home stamp set (item #157930)
Happiness Abounds stamp set (item #159238) New
Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #151820)
Scalloped Contours Dies (item #155560)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183) New
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (item #157928)
Pale Papaya Cardstock (item #155668)
Smoky Slate Cardstock (item #131202)

Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (item #151193)
Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (item #155475)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Smoky Slate Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Pale Papaya cardstock
Scalloped Rectangle layer die cut with Scalloped Contours Dies
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Stitched Rectangle die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies
This pretty card design had me stepping outside my comfort zone using colors and a layout I had not tried before. I chose the colors from the designer series paper and I will admit, it is not a color combination I have used before. I heat embossed the floral image with White embossing powder to decorate the Pale Papaya layer and I created the sentiment label with one of the dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies and heat embossed the image with White embossing powder to coordinate. I used White Baker's Twine to embellish the Pale Papaya layer and then added the layer to the designer series paper layer with adhesive. I stamped the floral image with Smoky Slate Classic ink on the top right and bottom left corners of the Smoky Slate card base and then added the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. To add a touch of bling, I added Champagne Rhinestones to the centers of the embossed flowers and the sentiment label to finish up the design.

Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop At The Market

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop and this month our theme is "At the Market".  We have been challenged to find a photo of a market and use it as inspiration for our project. You will be visiting with our talented team members as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you.
For my card design, I chose this photo taken at a marketplace in Instanbul, Turkey (shown above), as my inspiration. The focal image shows a coat with clean and simple lines with a wonderful pattern in blue and white. I was immediately reminded of one of the designs in the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, and it became the basis for my card design. Instead of the bright yellow of the scarf, I chose to use Gold Foil and Gold embossing to embellish my card design.
Products Used:
Blessings of Home Bundle (item #157939)
Tasteful Labels Dies (item #152886) Retiring
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (item #157928)
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081) Retiring
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Gilded Gems (#152478)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Scalloped Circle die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies
Gold Foil Sheets
Detailed foliage die cut with the Flowers of Home Dies
I love how the designer series paper creates a similar flow with the curved detail of the design. While the Misty Moonlight I chose isn't the same blue as the coat design, I liked the way it created a similar feeling. The Gold Foil die cuts reminded me of the floral elements in the coat and along with the Gold embossing, provides a pop of color similar to the yellow scarf. I kept the details to a minimum to mimic the clean and simple lines of the coat. This card design would also work well as a masculine card design for a variety of occasions. I love how this card turned out and how it was inspired by finding a connection between a design on a coat and a pattern of a piece of designer series paper.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to look at the world around you for inspiration to help you create your own beautiful projects.

Stamping Inkspirations February Blog Hop Color Challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations February Blog Hop and this month we have an amazing Color Challenge to help us get creative. We have been challenged to use at least 3 of the following colors: Blushing Bride, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Bumblebee and Garden Green to create our project. We are also allowed to use the following neutrals in our design: Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Crumb Cake. I am excited to see what everyone creates with this month's Color Challenge and I hope you will hop along and visit with our talented team members.
When I saw the list of colors for this challenge, I thought of Spring flowers. This led me to the beautiful Blessings of Home stamp set from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. I love the large floral image in this stamp set and I thought it would be a perfect way to showcase these wonderful colors. For the layers, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies and for the sentiment, I chose the Special Moments stamp set, which is a Level 2 Sale-a-Bration Reward that can be earned free with a qualifying order. This card design would work well for a variety of occasions.
Products Used:
Blessings of Home stamp set (item #157930)
Special Moments stamp set (item #158081)
Level 2 Sale-a-Bration Reward
Scalloped Contours Dies (item #155530)

Blushing Bride Cardstock (item #131198)
Polished Pink Cardstock (item #155710)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Garden Green Classic Ink Pad (item #147089)
Bumblebee Classic Ink Pad (item #153116)
Blushing Bride Classic Ink Pad (item #147100)

Polished Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #155520)
Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #155518)
Blender Pens (item #102845)
Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (item #141897)
White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (item #156408)
Brushed Brass Butterflies (item #158136)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Blushing Bride Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label punched with the Double Oval Punch
Polished Pink Cardstock
Scalloped Rectangle Layer die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Scalloped Rectangle Layer die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies
This pretty card design features two different styles of coloring. I colored the flowers with Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Markers and the rest of the elements were colored using a Blender Pen with Bumblebee, Garden Green and Blushing Bride Classic ink pads. I added a light shadow around the edge of the floral design with the Blushing Bride Classic ink and the Blender Pen. Using the Clear Wink of Stella, I colored over the floral image to give some shimmer and sparkle. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Special Moments stamp set with Gold embossing powder and I added the Brushed Brass Butterflies to embellish the sentiment and focal design. I popped up both the sentiment label and the Polished Pink cardstock layer to give the card design some dimension. I added a piece of the Glittered Organdy Ribbon underneath the sentiment label to complete the design. I love how these colors came together to create this beautiful card design.

Ink. Stamp. Share. January Monthly Blog Hop Pick A Suite

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Monthly Blog Hop and we are starting off the New Year showcasing the wonderful product suites that Stampin' Up! has to offer. Our Design Team members will be sharing their amazing projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative.
The suite I chose to for today's card is the beautiful Heart & Home Suite Collection from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. This is in fact a mega suite with two separate bundles along with coordinating products to help you create wonderful projects. For my card design, I chose to focus on the Blessings of Home stamp set and paired it with the pretty Heart & Home Designer Series Paper. I just love the soft, romantic feel of the designs in both the stamp set and paper pack and used them to create a beautiful Thank You card.
Products Used:
Heart & Home Suite Collection (item #157959)
- Blessings of Home stamp set (item #157930)
- Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (item #157928)
- Classic Matte Dots (item #158146)
Tasteful Labels Dies (item #152886)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
2021-2023 In Color Jewels (item #155571)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Focal Label die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 5"
This beautiful clean and simple card is easy to create. The designer series paper is the star of the card design and I heat embossed the floral image and sentiment with White embossing powder onto the Fresh Freesia die cuts created with the Tasteful Labels Dies. This monochromatic card is a wonderful design that can be used for a variety of occasions. I added just a touch of bling on the floral label using the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels and two of the White Classic Matte Dots to embellish the sentiment label, to complete the card design.
