Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop April Showers Bring May Flowers

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop. It's hard to believe we are celebrating our 4th Anniversary of our little blog hop and to celebrate our theme is, "April Showers Bring May Flowers." Visit with our talented Design Team members as we share projects and ideas to help inspire you.
For my card design, I just had to use the products in the Rain or Shine Suite Collection in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, as they are a perfect fit for this month's theme. I am so sad that the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper is retiring, so I decided to use the designs to create my focal design for this card. I love the shine on the raindrops in the background and on the coat and hat that the fox is wearing. I used the Playing In The Rain Dies to die cut the fox and the puddle images from one of the sheets of designer series paper and I fussy cut two of the flower bushes to embellish the frame around the focal image. The colors are so fun and perfect for Spring and the design gives us hope that with a little rain, we will soon be enjoying flowers blooming in our gardens once more.

I am so excited that Misty Moonlight is returning and couldn't resist using the cardstock for this card design. It works so well with Balmy Blue and felt that it was the perfect combination for this design. I used the Layering Diorama Dies to die cut the opening from the Balmy Blue cardstock layer and then embossed it with the Raindrops Embossing Folder to tie it in with the background layer. I attached the raindrop designer series panel to the center of the Misty Moonlight card base and then added the Balmy Blue die cut layer with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. To create the focal design, I adhered the puddle to the designer series paper layer and added the fox die cut with Stampin' Dimensionals so that it looked like the fox was about to walk through the puddle. I added the flower bushes on either side of the opening to decorate the frame. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Playing In The Rain stamp set using Silver Embossing Powder and then die cut it out with the Stylish Shapes Dies. I attached it to the top right corner of the Balmy Blue layer to complete the card design. I decided not to add any other embellishments, preferring to let the shimmer of the designer series paper and the Silver embossing powder add a subtle bling to the card.

We Create February Blog Hop Sale-a-bration Sweetness

Let's start off the new month with the We Create February Blog Hop and a little Sale-a-bration Sweetness. It's the last month to take advantage of Sale-a-bration to earn free products with a qualifying order and it's also the month for love with Valentine's Day coming up soon. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative for the month ahead.
Today I created a fun card design with the Thanks A Bunch stamp set, which is a Level 1 Sal-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying order ($50 in the U.S.) Now I must admit, this stamp set was a bit of a challenge and it took me a while to come up with a design using this stamp set that I thought would make someone smile. So I decided to pair it with the Playing In The Rain Bundle from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog to create a more non-traditional Valentine's Day card. When I think of carrots, I think of rabbits, so the cute little bunny in this bundle was the perfect size to use with the smallest bunch of carrots from the Thanks A Bunch stamp set. For the background, I chose one of the designs from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper, a Level 2 Sale-a-bration Reward that you can earn free with a qualifying order ($100 in the U.S.) For the sentiment, I used the Love You More Than Dies from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog along with the carrot image from the Thanks A Bunch stamp set. The end result was a sweet Valentine's Day card to brighten someone's day.

This fun card is a combination of a variety of products that helped me achieve the idea I had in my mind. The die cut words were perfect for creating the sentiment and I love how the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper adds some sparkle to the card design. The rabbit was colored with Stampin' Blends Markers and I used the Color Lifter to blend the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend Marker to add some soft color to the white rabbit. For the carrots, I stamped the images onto Basic White cardstock using Pumpkin Pie for the carrots and Parakeet Party for the leaves. I fussy cut out the image with Paper Snips. To assemble the card, I attached the Pool Party Stitched Circle to the bottom left corner of the designer series paper card front and cut away the excess for the left side and bottom to create the corner. I then attached the card front to the card base. I attached the rabbit to the Pool Party circle with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and then added the bunch of carrots near its paw on the right side. I added the Gold words to the card front, arranging them in order and then added the small Carrots sentiment, tucking it underneath the edge of the circle. To finish off the design, I added some Gold sequins for a touch of bling. It makes me happy to think that this little bunny loves someone more than carrots and I hope that the person who receives this card will see the humor in the design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to get creative and share the love with the people in your life.
