Ink. Stamp. Share. April Floral Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. April Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to create a project with a floral theme. Stampin' Up! has so many beautiful floral products, that it was hard to choose which one I would use for my card design today.
I decided to use my favorite Designer Series Paper from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog as my focal design. The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (item #146913) has so many beautiful photo realistic designs to choose from and I am sad that it is retiring. This beautiful paper is only available while supplies last, so if you love it as much as I do, I recommend that you order it before it sells out.
The card base was created using the Gold Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes to add a classic elegance to the card design. I attached a piece of the floral designer series paper to the card front with Snail Adhesive so that it lay flat against the card front.
To create the sentiment, I chose the All That You Are stamp set (item #148664) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and used the Thank You sentiment. I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I punched it out using the Pretty Label Punch (item #143715) and attached it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
To embellish the card front, I die cut several of the small butterfly dies from the Butterfly Beauty Dies (item #148536) from Gold Foil and attached them to the card front. I added several small Basic Rhinestones to the butterflies and the sentiment label for a touch of bling to finish off the card design. This clean and simple card design is a beautiful example of how you can create wonderful card designs with a few coordinating supplies.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that you have enjoyed my card design and that it gives you ideas for your own projects using Stampin' Up!'s beautiful designer series paper and other amazing products. If you live in the U.S. and you do not already have a demonstrator, I would be happy to help you with your crafting needs.

What's New at SU Blog Hop Designer Series Paper

Welcome the What's New at SU Blog Hop, featuring Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world. This month we are featuring the amazing Designer Series Paper that can be found in the New 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and that you can order as part of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper Promotion. You may have just visited Teri's blog or perhaps you are starting your blog hop journey here. I hope that our projects will help inspire you to explore the wonderful variety of Designer Series Paper available.

Today I am showcasing the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper pack (item #146913) which features the most gorgeous floral designs. I have created two different clean and simple card designs that showcase these beautiful designs to make wonderful cards to give to family and friends.

The first card was created using Fresh Fig cardstock for the card base and I cut the designer series paper to create a layer 5 1/4" x 4". I used the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) to embellish the layer of designer series paper and heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder, then die cut it with one of the smaller oval dies from the Layering Ovals Framelits dies. To create the matte for the sentiment, I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut an oval from Fresh Fig cardstock. To finish off the card design, I added Basic Rhinestones to embellish the sentiment.

With my second card, I used Petal Pink cardstock to create the card base and added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. I attached a layer of the designer series paper to the Very Vanilla cardstock and added a piece of the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144146). The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold embossing powder onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut the same as the first card. The matte for the sentiment was die cut from Petal Pink cardstock and I used Basic Pearls to embellish the sentiment.

With paper designs this beautiful, it is easy to create wonderful cards with minimal supplies. You can create cards for all occasions and they would make a wonderful gift set. There are so many amazing possibilities with this beautiful paper and I hope that I have inspired you to explore creating your own projects with it.
