ICS June Blog Hop 2021-2023 In Colors

Welcome to the ICS June Blog Hop as we showcase projects using the new 2021-2023 In Colors. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects.

The 2021-2023 In Colors are beautiful vibrant colors and I love how they combine together to create wonderful combinations for projects. For my card design today, I chose to use Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent, one of my favorite combinations. I think these two greens will be perfect for the holidays and I see Evening Evergreen as a beautiful Christmas green.

For this Christmas card design, I chose to use the new Tidings of Christmas 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #155718) with the Perfectly Plaid stamp set. I love the designs in this paper pack and the sentiment I chose has a beautifully elegant font that looks great when heat embossed. The sentiment tag was created using one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, one of my new favorite die sets from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. While it may be too early for some people to be thinking about Christmas, I can't wait to explore more possibilities with these beautiful colors and this festive new designer series paper.

Sentiment Label die cut with Tailor Made Tags Dies

This clean and simple Christmas card design is easy to duplicate and would be perfect for creating multiples. I love creating Christmas cards at this time of the year because you don't have the stress of the holidays to deal with and it's always fun to play with new products. For the sentiment, I used Copper embossing powder on the Sahara Sand cardstock tag to coordinate with the colors in the designer series paper. I colored three of the Basic Rhinestones with the Light Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Marker to add a touch of bling without being over the top. The combination of the Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent Ribbons helps finish off the design and I used the Gray Granite Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack to tie a knot at the base of the ribbons. This design would also work well as a masculine card for the holidays.

GSF November Blog Hop Plaid

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends (aka GSF) November Blog Hop as we share ideas to help you use plaid in your projects. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as we share our projects to help inspire you.

Today I am showcasing products from the Wrapped in Plaid Suite from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. I just love the vibrant colors in the Wrapped in Plaid 6"x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #149596) and how the designs work with the Perfectly Plaid Bundle (item #151140).

For my card design, I chose to use Shaded Spruce cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Night of Navy cardstock that I embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (item #150646) to add texture to the background. I cut a piece of 2" x 5" designer series paper and created a banner on one end using the Banner Triple Punch (item #138292) and attached it to the card front with Snail adhesive.

To create the focal image, I die cut a scalloped circle from Shaded Spruce and added a thin Silver Foil circle frame created with two of the circle dies all from the Layering Circles Dies. I punched out the tree image using the Pine Tree Punch from a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and then die cut the circle around it. I layered the circles so that the Shaded Spruce cardstock showed in the negative space for the pine tree. I stamped the tree image for the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder on the Shaded Spruce cardstock inside the area punched out by the Pine Tree Punch. I attached the circle to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, layering it on top of the piece of designer series paper.

To finish off the card, I created the sentiment by heat embossing the image from the Cup of Christmas stamp set (item #150491) with Gold embossing powder onto a scrap of Night of Navy cardstock and die cut it using one of the dies from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I cut a slightly larger rectangle from Shaded Spruce cardstock to create a matte and the layered them onto a larger rectangle die cut from Silver Foil. I attached the sentiment label below the focal image using Stampin' Dimensionals. This card design is perfect for a masculine Christmas card with the touches of gold and silver adding a little bling without being over the top.
