Inspire. Create. Share. March Blog Hop Spring Is Coming

It's time to hop along with the Inspire. Create. Share. March Blog Hop and this month we are showcasing Spring projects to help you get ready for the new season. It's hard to believe that Spring is almost here and our wonderful Design Team members are excited to share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative.
Often when you think of Spring, you think of pretty florals and soft pastel colors. So I thought I would combine these two elements to create a soft and pretty card design using the Enduring Beauty Bundle. For the background, I used one of the new Fun Patterns Embossing Folders to add some texture. Recently I learned a new technique called Etching, so I decided to try it with this card and I love how it added depth and dimension to the floral design. The overall design has a modern, artistic feel to it that I think works well for Spring.

Floral image stamped, colored & die cut with the Enduring Beauty Bundle
The Enduring Beauty Bundle is perfect for creating beautiful Spring cards for a variety of occasions. There are so many different ways you can mix and match the stamp set, masks and coordinating dies to get creative. I chose to use all three to create my Spring themed card. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and used the masks to color the images. For the flowers I used Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia Classic ink pads and for the leaves I chose Soft Sea Foam and Parakeet Party ink pads. I applied the color to the masks using blending brushes to give the stamped image a soft and pretty look. For the etching on the images, I used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to add small lines to add depth and texture. I love the artistic feeling that this technique adds to this image. I used the coordinating Enduring Beauty Dies to die cut the image to create the focal point for my card design. For the background layer, I cut a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock measuring 5" x 3 3/4" into three separate pieces and then embossed them using one of the Fun Patterns Embossing Folders. I love the delicate detail it adds to the background without being overwhelming. I attached the three pieces to a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and then layered it onto the Basic Black cardstock that helps to frame the layers and make it pop against the Soft Sea Foam card base. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto Basic Black cardstock and used one of the Timeless Arrangements Dies to die cut the label. I added the sentiment to the bottom right corner of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals and added the floral image so that the leaves slightly overlap the sentiment, also using Stampin' Dimensionals. For a touch of bling, I added several Gold Pearls to coordinate with the Gold embossing. I love how this design turned out using these products to create a fresh and pretty card for Spring.

Around The World On Wednesday March Blog Hop Color Challenge March Blues

Welcome to the Around the World On Wednesday March Blog Hop and this month it's all about the March Blues. We have been challenged to use Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy to create our projects this month. My favorite color is blue, so I am very excited to play with these beautiful colors. Our Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects.
For my card, I wanted to combine all of the colors to create a fun and festive design that would also be a great masculine card. When I saw the sample for the Happy Little Things Bundle, I knew I wanted to CASE it using these beautiful colors. I did make a few adjustments to create my own version of this design and I love how it turned out. For the banners, I used a combination of designer series paper and embossed cardstock to create the banners behind the sentiment to add some texture and depth to the design. The sentiment has been colored using Stampin' Blends Markers in the colors to add a pop of color to the Basic White label. I must admit, as much as I love these blues, I don't think I would have thought to combine them all together but thanks to this challenge, I can now say, I love how they look on this card design.

The banners are the star of this card design and are the perfect way to add a variety of colors as well as a little texture. I embossed the cardstock banners using one of the new Fun Patterns Embossing Folders, which are a new addition to the Online Exclusives. It adds just a little bit of texture without being over the top. I alternated them with the striped designer series paper banners in each of the colors and attached them behind the Night of Navy Label. For the sentiment label, I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy Classic ink and then colored in the letters using Dark Pool Party, Light Balmy Blue, Light Boho Blue, Light Misty Moonlight and Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Markers. I attached the sentiment label to the Night of Navy label and then attached it to the Basic White layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then layered it onto the Boho Blue layer and finally attached it to the Night of Navy card base. To complete the card design, I added several Misty Moonlight Gems for a touch of bling. As you can see, it's a great clean and simple card design that would work well for a variety of celebrations.
