Stamping Inkspirations January Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations January Blog Hop and we are starting off 2025 with a Sketch Challenge to help warm us up. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore creating your own beautiful projects using this month's sketch for inspiration. Sketches are a great way to spark creativity, especially if you are struggling to get started. It's like having a road map or a plan that can help prompt your imagination.
I love using sketches as a way to create fun card designs. With Valentine's Day just over a month away, I wanted to show how you can create a beautiful card design without having to do any stamping. Using the sketch layout, I chose to create a bold, bright design using the Full of Life Designer Series Paper with the Mix & Match Ephemera Packs from the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog.
Products Used:

Full of Life Designer Series Paper
Card Front Accent Layer: 5" x 4 1/4"
 Cut 1 Strip - 1" x 4 1/4"
Tear left side of remaining piece along the 4 1/4" side to create gap between the 2 pieces
Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Pack
Pink Wash Tag
Celebrate Love Mix & Match
Real Red Heart Die Cut
Red & Pink Floral Die Cut
Red Sentiment Label
This sketch was a lot of fun and I admit it really challenged me to think outside my comfort zone. I recently ordered several of the new Mix & Match Ephemera Packs from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog and I wanted to explore creating a card design that had no stamping by using different elements from these packs. For my background design, I chose to use one of the patterns from the Full of Life 6"x6" Designer Series Paper and I loved the contrast of the bold, vibrant colors against the Basic White background layer. I chose one of the tags from the Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Pack for my focal layer and added several elements and a sentiment label from the Celebrate Love Mix & Match Ephemera Pack to create the focal design. I loved how the different elements coordinated to have it all come together. For the twine and bow element, I wrapped a piece of White Baker's Twine around the card front twice and tied a bow on the right side near the edge. I made sure that the twine was placed about halfway across the card front and then added the focal tag over the top using Stampin' Dimensionals, so that the bow was against the right edge of the tag. I chose not to add any bling, instead letting the bold colors and the design elements shine for this design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to give this Sketch Challenge a try to create your own beautiful projects. There are so many wonderful options to explore to help spark your creativity.

Global Stamping Friends January Blog Hop Coming Soon

It's time to the start 2025 off with the Global Stamping Friends January Blog Hop and take a Sneak Peek at what is coming soon from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog and 2025 Sale-a-bration, which launches January 7th, 2025. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative for the New Year.
I love new catalog time and I feel a bit like a kid in a candy store looking through the pages to find those hidden gems that speak to me. One of the new bundles that caught my eye is the Hugs For Love Bundle, which has a wonderful stamp set and coordinating punch that are perfect for creating fun clean and simple card designs. While the theme is aimed at Valentine's Day, I like that the sentiments and images work well for all occasion cards and that is what drew me to order it. I paired this new bundle with the Full of Life 6"x6" Designer Series Paper to create a sweet card that will help brighten someone's day and chase away the Winter Blues.
Products Used:
Hugs For Love Bundle (item #165738)
Full of Life 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #163357)
Berry Burst Cardstock (item #144243)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Berry Burst Classic Ink Pad (item #147143)
Pretty In Pink Classic Ink Pad (item #163807)
Tinsel Gems Four Pack (item #161623)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #161623)
Measurements:
Berry Burst Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Matte Layer punched out with the To The Point Label Punch
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Label stamped and punched out with the Hugs For Love Bundle
Full of Life Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 45 1/4" x 4"
With the holidays over and Winter settling in, it is a time when people can feel alone and isolated from family and friends. So with this in mind, I wanted to design a card that could be sent out to help brighten someone's day and let them know that I was thinking of them and sending them a paper hug. The new Hugs For Love Bundle is the perfect fit for this type of card and I wanted the colors for this design to be warm and cheerful. I chose one of the designs from the Full of Life 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for the card front and I love the combination of pinks and yellows. I stamped the sentiment image with Berry Burst Classic ink and the border image around it and then added the heart image over the top stamped with Pretty In Pink to add some interest to the design. I punched out the image with the coordinating To The Point Label Punch and layered it onto a
Berry Burst label that I cut in half to create a frame around the sentiment label. I added the label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and then added several Berry Burst Gems for a touch of bling to complete the design. I love the simplicity of this design and how you could create a variety of cards with these supplies to send out to the people you care about.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help get you excited about the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog and get creative for the New Year. There are so many amazing options to explore.

We Create June Blog Hop All The Pretty Colors

Welcome to the We Create June Blog Hop as we explore all the pretty colors for this month's theme. One of my favorite things about Stampin' Up! is their amazing range of beautiful colors and the coordinating products that make it so easy to get creative. Our small but mighty Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity and help you to add a little color to your life.
When I saw this month's theme, I just knew I had to use the new Full of Life 6"x6" Designer Series from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, because it is full of wonderful designs in beautiful color combinations. The hardest part about creating this card design was choosing which design I would use for the background of my card. I wanted to keep my card design clean and simple to help showcase the wonderful colors in this sun burst pattern. The sentiments from the Saying Hey stamp set are bold and fun and they work perfectly with this card design.
Products Used:
Saying Hey stamp set (item #163697)
Something Fancy Dies (item #160424)
Full of Life 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #163357)
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock (item #146968)
Berry Burst Cardstock (item #146968)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Berry Burst Classic Ink Pad (item #147143)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)

Tinsel Gems Four Pack (item #161623)
Measurements:
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock

Layer 1 - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Sentiment Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Berry Burst Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Full of Life Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
I love color, so the designs in the Full of Life Designer Series Paper pack are a dream come true for me. Not only are there so many beautiful color combinations, but the patterns are simply stunning and make perfect backgrounds for clean and simple card design. For the design I chose, I trimmed it to create a card front with the center of the sun burst design towards the center of the card front. I attached the designer series paper layer to a layer of Basic White cardstock to create a thin border and then attached it to the Blueberry Bushel card base to help make it all pop. For the sentiment, I stamped the large Hey sentiment with Berry Burst Classic ink onto the Basic White sentiment label and attached it to the center of the card front. For the smaller sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Silver embossing powder onto the Berry Burst label and attached it to the card front below the focal sentiment. To complete the design, I added several Berry Burst Gems from the Tinsel Gems Four Pack, which coordinates perfectly with the colors in this card design. I just love how bright and cheerful this card design is and I hope it will bring a smile to the person receiving it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore all the fun ways to add color to your projects. With just paper, stamps and ink, you can create beautiful clean and simple designs for all occasions. There are so many wonderful options to explore.
