Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop September 2019

Welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for September and our last blog hop together as part of this wonderful year of training and sharing with my fellow demonstrators from around the world. This has been an amazing experience and I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and learn so much that has helped me grow as a demonstrator and as a person. I hope that you will enjoy our last blog hop together and be inspired by the amazing projects that we have to share with you all.

My card design today features the beautiful Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (item #149497) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I love that the new 2019-2021 In Colors coordinate perfectly with the wonderful patterns in this paper pack and make it simple to create projects using these colors. The combination of Terracotta Tile and Seaside Spray made me think of how we are transitioning from Summer into Fall, I thought these colors worked well together. The Overlay Fun Fold is a wonderful card design that I discovered from fellow demonstrator, Susan Campfield, and I thought would work beautifully with this pretty paper.
The sheet of designer series paper that I chose from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper pack predominantly features Seaside Spray with hints of Terracotta Tile. I chose to use Terracotta Tile cardstock for the base of my card to create a nice contrast.  To create my daisy, I stamped the images from the Daisy Lane stamp set (item #149325) on Whisper White cardstock using Seaside Spray Classic ink. I stamped the medium daisy image twice and then punched both of them out using the Medium Daisy Punch (item #149517) and layered them together with a Mini Glue Dot. I then stamped the large daisy image twice and punched them out using the Daisy Punch (item #143713) and layered them together with a Mini Glue Dot. To complete the daisy, I layered the medium daisy on top of the large daisy and attached them together with several Mini Glue Dots. Did you know that when you order both the Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating Medium Daisy Punch as the Daisy Lane Bundle (item #151118), you can save 10%? It's a great way to help you with your stamping budget.
For the inside panel of the card, I attached two 3/4"x4" strips of the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper to the sides of the 5 1/4"x4" Whisper White cardstock insert and then attached it to the inside of the card. This provides and area to write a message that will be hidden behind the front panel of the card.
For the front of the card design, I attached a 3/4"x5 1/4" strip of the same designer series paper across the top of the Terracotta Tile card base, which has been cut to 5 1/4" x 5 1/2" and scored at 1" along the 5 1/4" side to create a small flap. I attached a 5" x4" piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock to the inside of the card flap using Tear & Tape Adhesive for added strength, lining up the bottom of the piece with the base of the back of the card base. For the design area, I added a 3"x3 3/4" Whisper White cardstock layer to the Terracotta Tile layer. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set (item #152729) with Copper Embossing Powder onto the Whisper White cardstock.

I punched out two of the leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock using the Leaf Punch (item #144667) and attached them to the card front with Snail Adhesive so that the stems would be underneath the daisy. I also attached a piece of the Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon (item #149705) between the leaves so that it would stick out from underneath the daisy. To finish off the card, I attached the Seaside Spray daisy onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure to center it so that it the leaves and ribbon were visible. For a touch of bling, I added a Clear Faceted Gem (item $144142) to the center of the daisy and lightly brushed the petals with the Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmer.

ICS Beautiful Bundles Blog Hop

Welcome to the ICS Beautiful Bundles Blog Hop as we explore the amazing bundles available in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators as they share their wonderful ideas and projects to help inspire you with your own creations. I hope that you will enjoy our blog hop.
It's hard to pick a favorite bundle in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, but I think mine would be the Daisy Lane Bundle (item #151118). I just love the versatility of the Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating Medium Daisy Punch that make up this bundle and I also love that the Daisy Punch (item #143713) coordinates with the large daisy image for even more possibilities.
To create this card design, I started with Rococo Rose cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock as a matte for the Gray Granite cardstock layer. I stamped the stem and the fern leaf images from the Daisy Lane stamp set using Old Olive Classic ink on to the Gray Granite cardstock layer and then embossed the layer using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder (item #149643). I gently sponged the edges of the embossed cardstock using a Sponge Dauber and Gray Granite Classic ink and lightly sponged the raised bricks to give them an aged, worn look.
Using Rococo Rose Classic ink, I stamped two of the large daisy images onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched them out using the Daisy Punch. To create the smaller daisy, I stamped the medium daisy image twice with Rococo Rose Classic ink, making sure to stamp off once to create the lighter color, onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then used the Medium Daisy Punch to punch them out. To add a touch of shimmer, I colored each of the petals with Clear Wink of Stella and then I used the Bone Folder to curl the edges of all the petals. To complete the daisy, I attached the layers using Mini Glue Dots and then attached the daisy to the card front with a Stampin' Dimensional. I added a Gold Faceted Gem (item #144141) to the center of the daisy for a touch of bling.
For the smaller daisy, I stamped the image with Rococo Rose Classic ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and fussy cut the image with Paper Snips. I colored the stamped image with Clear Wink of Stella and attached the daisy to the card front with a Stampin' Dimensional.
To complete the card design, I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set with Versamark ink onto a scrap of Gray Granite cardstock and heat embossed it with White embossing powder. I punched out the sentiment using the 1" Circle Punch (item #119868) and then matted it onto an Old Olive cardstock circle punched with the 1 1/8" Scallop Circle Punch (item #146138). I attached the sentiment to the card front using a Stampin' Dimensional to complete the card design. I love the way these colors work together and the way the daisies pop against the distressed brick wall background.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try out this bundle and explore creating your own projects with it. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

ICS July Blog Hop Punch Me Out

Welcome to the ICS July Blog Hop and this month our theme is Punch Me Out. No, this isn't about boxing but rather we are showcasing Stampin' Up!'s Punches in our projects to help inspire you. You will be visiting with demonstrators from around the world as they share their fun projects to help provide you with a variety of ideas for your own creations.
If you have been following my blog this week, you may have noticed a pattern with my projects. What can I say, I just love the new Daisy Lane Bundle (item #151118) and how versatile the Daisy Lane Cling stamp set (item #149325) and coordinating Medium Daisy Punch (149517) are for creating projects. When you order both of these products as the bundle, you save 10% and I am all about saving money.
For this card design, I chose to use a bright, cheerful color combination with Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove to celebrate Summer. I chose Crumb Cake cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock that I stamped using the small daisy image with Bermuda Bay Classic ink to create a tone on tone background.
To create the focal panel, I used a 3 1/4" square piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to create a matte for the 3" square piece of Bermuda Bay Designer Series Paper from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #149613).

To create the daisy, I stamped two of the large daisy images with Grapefruit Grove Classic ink and two images of the medium daisy image with Pineapple Punch Classic ink. Next, I punched out the large daisy images using the Daisy Punch (143713) and the medium daisy images with the Medium Daisy Punch from the bundle. I layered the images and attached the medium Daisy to the larger daisy with a Stampin' Dimensional. Using the Leaf Punch, I punched out two sets of leaves from a scrap of Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
To assemble the focal image, I attached the leaves to the designer series paper with Snail Adhesive and attached the daisy in the center of the designer series paper square using a Stampin' Dimensional. For the center of the daisy, I added a Clear Faceted Gem (item #144142) for a touch of bling and added Clear Wink of Stella to the daisy petals for a little shimmer.
To finish off the card design, I added a piece of Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon (item #148764) to the center of the Bermuda Bay cardstock layer and attached the focal panel on top with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. The sentiment was created using the Itty Bitty Greetings Cling stamp set (item #151331), stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Bermuda Bay Classic ink. I then die cut the sentiment using one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (item #149638) and attached it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try using punches for your projects to add texture and dimension to your creations. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

GSF Stampers Choice Blog Hop

Welcome to the GSF February Blog Hop and this month we have been given the wonderful freedom of Stamper's Choice for our theme. This means that you will see a wide variety of projects featuring projects created with projects from any of the current catalogs, to help inspire you.
I decided to combine something new from the Occasions Catalog with the Fable Friends stamp set (item #148670) and the beautiful Gingham Gala 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #148554), which has been extremely popular. In addition, I have added some old favorites including the Daisy Delight stamp set (item #143669) and the coordinating Daisy Punch (item #143713) from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and one of my favorite colors, Lemon Lime Twist.

This cute little bunny has been stamped using Stazon Jet Black ink so that I could color him with Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen. I love the softness that this coloring technique gives to the bunny.

The card base has been created with Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock and attached the 2"x5 1/4" piece of designer series paper to it. I covered the seam with a piece of Whisper White 3/8" Metallic Edge ribbon (item #144213) to add a little sparkle to the card design.
To create the layers for the focal image, I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies (item #148551). I love the detail that these dies create around the edges of the rectangles.

The daisy was created by stamping the daisy image from the Daisy Delight stamp set twice onto Whisper White cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Classic ink. I then punched them both out using the Daisy Punch and layered them on top of each other, offsetting them to create a fuller looking flower. I punched out a 3/4" circle from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and embossed it with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #143706). For a touch of shimmer, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the Daisy petals and the center. I attached the flower to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
This card design is perfect for a Spring theme card and I deliberately decided to not add a sentiment to the card front, so that it can be used for a variety of occasions. The sentiments in the Fable Friends stamp set provide options for Easter, Spring and as a baby card. The Daisy Delight stamp set has sentiments that are perfect for thank you cards.

The variety of beautiful colors in the Gingham Gala 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack provides wonderful options for creating pretty cards for Spring and Summer. It is one of my favorite designer series paper packs and I urge you to order it soon as it has been very popular and may possibly sell out. Remember that during Sale-a-bration, you can earn Free exclusive products with a qualifying order.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own Spring themed projects. If you wish to order any of the products I have used today, please visit my Online Store to place your order.
