Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 44 - Balmy Blue

Let's celebrate the start of a new month with Week 44 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge. This week we are showcasing the beautiful Balmy Blue, one of my favorite blues and I had so much fun creating this fun Christmas card. This pretty blue from the Subtles Collection gives this card design a wonderful frosty feeling and I can't wait to share with you how I created it.
Now that we are officially in November, you may be feeling a bit of a panic to create your Christmas cards to send to family and friends. This sweet Christmas card is a wonderful example of how you can take one stamp set to create a variety of cute cards that are sure to make people smile. The Dear Santa stamp set has adorable images and cute sentiments to help you create heartfelt designs that are perfect for some simple coloring. I paired it with one of the designs from the Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for the background and I love the detail created with the Everyday Details Dies for the focal image circle and sentiment label. You could create a wonderful set of cards for the holidays with just these supplies.

This cute card is so easy and fun to create with just a few simple supplies. The images in the Dear Santa stamp set are easy to color and don't take a lot of time. I chose to use Stampin' Blends Markers and as you can see, I only used a handful of colors to color in the image and bring this cute little guy to life. I love the texture that the designer series paper adds to the background and helps make the focal circle and sentiment label pop. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up to give them a little extra dimension.

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities October Blog Hop Nests of Christmas

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities October Blog Hop as we showcase alternative projects featuring the Nests of Christmas Kit. Our wonderful Design Team is excited to share their beautiful projects and ideas to help you get into the spirit of the holiday season.
For my alternative card design, I chose to use the arch piece from one of the card bases to create a window for my card design. I decided to use Shaded Spruce cardstock for the card base and Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the card front to help make the focal image pop. To create the focal image, I used several of the die cuts and one of the sentiment labels to bring it all together.
Products Used:
Paper Pumpkin October Kit Nests of Christmas
Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (item #162026)
Shaded Spruce Cardstock (item #146981)
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock (item #146968)
White Loose Snowflakes (item #164128)
Measurements:
Shaded Spruce Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder
This beautiful holiday card is simple to create and a wonderful way to use several of the pieces from the kit to create a pretty alternative design. To add some texture to the background. I embossed the Blueberry Bushel cardstock layer with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder to add falling snowflakes to the design. It makes me think of the sky on a snowy night and I love the way the Blueberry Bushel makes the arch window pop. I stamped the sentiment label with one of the sentiments from the exclusive stamp set using the Shaded Spruce ink spot included in the kit. I attached the focal die cuts to the right bottom corner of the window and attached the sentiment label with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love how peaceful this design looks and I think it makes the perfect Christmas card. To complete the design, I added several White Loose Snowflakes to the window background.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects with the supplies in this wonderful kit. There are so many options to explore.

ICS July Blog Hop Let's Get Punchy

Welcome to the ICS July Blog Hop as we showcase punches with our theme "Let's Get Punchy". Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their ideas and projects to help you get creative with your punches. There are so many options to explore to help you create your own beautiful creations.
For my card, I chose to create a pretty Christmas card design for Christmas in July, focusing on the 2" & 2 3/8" Circle Punches to show how versatile they are for creating sentiments. In addition, I chose to use the Bough Punch to add some foliage to the sentiment to step it up. I paired these punches with the new Online Exclusive products, Greetings of the Season stamp set and coordinating Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper to create a stepped up clean and simple design. I love how the Gold accents and Gold embossing take this design to the next level.
Products Used:
Greetings of the Season stamp set (item #164325)
2" Circle Punch (item #133782)
2 3/8" Circle Punch (item #16354)
Bough Punch (item #157711)
Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
(item #164324)
Mossy Meadow Cardstock (item #133676)
Garden Green Cardstock (item #102584)
Old Olive Cardstock (item #100702)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Wow Embossing Powders (item #165678)
Pecan Pie 3/8" Center Stripe Ribbon (item #162744)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)
Measurements:
Mossy Meadow Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Circle punched out with the 2" Circle Punch
Garden Green Cardstock
2 Large Leaves punched out with the Bough Punch
Old Olive Cardstock
3 Small Sprigs punched out with the Bough Punch
Gold Foil Sheets
Medium Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch
Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
I love making Christmas cards in July because there is no pressure or stress like there is around the holidays. With the new products just added to the Online Exclusives this month, it was a perfect opportunity to showcase a couple of them while showing how punches can help to create fun clean and simple card designs. The card front was created using one of the designs from the Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper and I just love how there are hints of Gold that give the card an elegant feel. I used the 2" Circle Punch for the sentiment and heat embossed the image from the new Greetings of the Season stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto the Mossy Meadow cardstock to make it pop. I layered it onto a larger circle of Gold Foil punched out using the 2 3/8" Circle Punch and I love how this creates a beautiful frame for the sentiment. I added two pieces of the Pecan Pie Center Striped Ribbon to the center of the card front using Mini Glue Dots and added the focal circles to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I arranged the Old Olive and Garden Green foliage pieces that I punched out using the Bough Punch, tucking them underneath the circles to hide the stem. I love how this beautiful Christmas card turned out and I can't wait to try some of the other designs and sentiments to create a stack ready for the holidays.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore using punches to create your own wonderful projects. One of my favorite things about punches is how quick and easy it is to create projects using them. As you can see from my card design, it is a great way to mix and match to create your own beautiful designs.

Technique Tuesday October Blog Hop Punches

It's time to get out the punches and have some fun with the October Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. Punches are so versatile and they are a great way to step up your projects. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative with your punches and see what you can creative with them.
One of my favorite suites in the new September-December 2023 Mini Catalog is the Beary Christmas Suite Collection. I love that the Beary Cute Bundle has a punch and coordinating stamp set, plus the punch also coordinates with several of the designs in the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper. So of course, I had to use this suite to create my card design today. In addition to the Beary Cute Punch, I also used the Decorative Circle Punch for the background for the bear and the star punch from the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack to create the decorative ends for the sentiment label. This is such an easy card to create and I love how the designer series paper sets the scene for this holiday card.
Products Used:
Beary Cute Bundle (item #162023)
Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper (item #162015)
Inked & Tiled Punch Pack (item #161167)
Decorative Circle Punch (item #159174)
Balmy Blue Cardstock (146982)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins (item #162029)
Balmy Blue 3/8" Sparkle Ribbon (item #162030)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Balmy Blue Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Decorative Circle punched out with the Decorative Circle Punch
Sentiment Label - 7/8" x 4" Ends punched with the star punch from the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack
Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper
Card Front = 5 1/4" x 4"
Bear with sweater punched out with the Beary Cute Punch
This pretty Christmas card is easy to assemble and needs just a few simple supplies. I chose the designer series paper for the background and attached a piece of Balmy Blue Sparkle Ribbon around the top of the card front, attaching it to the back. I then attached the card front to the Balmy Blue card base. I punched out the bear from one of the designs of the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper and attached it to the Balmy Blue decorative circle with Stampin' Dimensionals and then attached it to the bottom right corner of the card front. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder onto the Balmy Blue cardstock strip and then used the star punch from the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack to create the decorative ends. I attached the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it over the top of the ribbon. To complete the card design, I added two of the small, clear Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins to the sentiment label. I love how this card design turned out and how each one of the punches I used help to create the finished design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help spark your creativity and inspire you to explore the many wonderful ways you can create with punches. There are so many possibilities to help you combine different punches to create your projects.

I love Christmas and would happily create Christmas cards all year round. Today I am creating a lovely design using products from the upcoming One Horse Open Sleigh Suite, which will be available as a new Online Exclusive beginning July 6th. This wonderful suite has beautiful designer series paper, stamp and die bundle and elegant snowflake embellishments to help you create the perfect holiday projects. I chose to keep my design simple, letting the designer series paper do all the work, with the addition of the Copper embossed sentiment and coordinating Copper Snowflakes. This card design has a lovely, peaceful feel to it with a touch of elegance.

- Adhesive Backed Snowflake Assortment (item #162129)
Lost Lagoon Cardstock (item #133679)

Lost Lagoon Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")

This beautiful Christmas card is the definition of clean and simple with just a card base and card front needed to create this design. The heat embossing of the sentiment and the coordinating snowflakes help step it up and give it an elegant feel to it. The lovely scenery of the designer series paper does all the hard work for this card design and transports you to a snowy, Winter Wonderland.
