Colour Combo October Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Colour Combo Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to create a project using Real Red, Petal Pink and Blackberry Bliss. Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world will be sharing their wonderful creations to help inspire you with your own projects and hopefully help you step outside your comfort zone. You may have just visited Elisabeth's blog or perhaps you are starting here with me. I  hope that you enjoy the projects we have to share today.
For my card design, I decided to create a Christmas card using the Beautiful Baubles Bundle in the 2018 Holiday Catalog. I just love the detail of the Detailed Baubles Thinlets dies and I used the large ornament die to create my focal point, from Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I layered a 2 1/4" Circle of Sparkle Glimmer Paper behind it that I punched out using the 2 1/4" Circle Punch. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the sparkle of the glitter is so pretty and festive.

I chose to use Blackberry Bliss for my card base and added a layer of Real Red cardstock. For the focal layer, I embossed a piece of Petal Pink cardstock with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Using a sponge dauber, I lightly rubbed Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint onto the raised areas of the embossing to create a soft, antique look.

For the hanger of the ornament, I used the Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon (item #147894) and tied a bow to attach to the top of the ornament. I attached the ornament to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the sentiment from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set and heat embossed it with White Embossing powder onto a 1" strip of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I then colored the embossing using the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker to coordinate with the background. I trimmed the sentiment using the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668).
To finish off the card, I colored Basic Rhinestones with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends Marker and decorated the ornament with them and added two small rhinestones to the sentiment. I attached the sentiment to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I just love the look of these colors together to create this beautiful Christmas card design. It is a wonderful non traditional color combination for the holidays and adds a modern twist to a normally tradition style bundle.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope that my card helps inspire you to try this color combination, especially as a non traditional option for the holidays. Now it's time to visit Sue's blog and see what she has created this month. Just click the Next button to visit her blog.

Until Next Time.
Happy Stampin',

We Create Halloween Blog Hop

It's time for October's We Create Halloween Blog Hop and this month we have some great ideas for projects to help you celebrate this spooky holiday. You may have just visited Anastasia's blog or perhaps you are starting off here with me. I hope that you will enjoy the creations we have to share this month.

My Halloween card has been created using the Trick or Tweet stamp set from the 2018 Holiday Catalog. I just love the cute images in this stamp set and they are great for fun cards and treats. I chose to use Lemon Lime Twist cardstock for my card base and used Lemon Lime Classic ink to stamp the stars image from the Cauldron Bubble stamp set to create a tone on tone background.

The center panel was created with a piece of Highland Heather cardstock that I embossed using the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #147923) and I added a touch of shimmer using the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (item #147044), applying it with a Sponge Dauber. I layered it onto a piece of Gorgeous Grape and attached it to the card front with Snail Adhesive.

The elephant image and sentiment have been stamped onto a square of Whisper White cardstock die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image using Stampin' Blends Markers and added a touch of shimmer with the Clear Wink of Stella.
This fun card design is wonderful for Halloween card but can also be used as a cute birthday card or as a way to cheer someone up. The stamps in the Trick or Tweet stamp set are so versatile and can be used in a variety of ways.

I hope you have enjoyed my card design today and I hope that it inspires you to try creating your own fun Halloween projects. Now it's time to visit Julie's blog and see what she has to share with us this month. Just click the Next button below to visit her blog.

Until Next Time.
