Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights July 2023

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's July Monthly International Blog Highlights and I am excited to share with you my card design using new products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop and seeing all the amazing projects that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world have created to say Thank You to the people in their lives.
For my card design, I wanted to play with the new Gorgeously Made Bundle and combine it with several of the new 2023-2025 In Colors to create a design with an organic feel to it. I love the textures in the this bundle and I had fun combining the stamp images and detailed dies. This design would work well as a masculine card with these rich, warm colors.

With the recent Color Refresh, Stampin' Up! has added some amazing new Core colors and I wanted to explore combining some of these new colors with the new 2023-2025 In Colors. I normally gravitate towards blues and greens with a cooler tone, so I challenged myself to explore using colors that I don't use a lot. For this card design, I chose to use Pebbled Path and Copper Clay for my card base and background layer and added some Wild Wheat, Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon to create an organic design. I love the detailed dies in the Gorgeously Made Dies and I used the two different leaves dies to create foliage for my design using Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon to add contrast. For the focal panel, I stamped the background with Wild Wheat Classic ink with the script background image and then sponged the edges to give it a distressed, aged look. I die cut the top of the panel to make it look like it had been torn out of a notebook and then die cut the bottom edge to give it the look of a torn edge. I added this layer to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and then added the Pretty Peacock leaves to some texture and detail. I attached the Pebbled Path circle to the bottom right corner of the panel and attached the Lost Lagoon leaves to the circle. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Copper Clay Classic ink onto the Basic White label and then gently sponged the label with Wild Wheat Classic ink to tie it in with the focal layer and then attached it to the Pebbled Path circle. To finish off the design, I added several Wild Wheat In Color Dots for a touch of bling.

  5. I love this bundle! Great idea to combine the type-block stamp with some sponging to age it.
