Global Stamping Friends July Blog Hop Recipe

Welcome the Global Stamping Friends July Blog Hop and this month our theme is Recipes. This month we have been challenged to use Crumb Cake as one of our colors and to incorporate food into our project. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you.
Rather than focus on a recipe, I chose to create a card featuring one of my family's favorite snacks - Cookies. When my kids were growing up, a cookie made a bad day better so I thought I would create a fun card that reflected that. I chose the Nothing's Better Than stamp set and the coordinating Love You More Than Dies to create this clean and simple design and I used a piece of Magenta Madness Designer Series Paper to add a pop of color to the card. This sweet card design is sure to brighten someone's day and if you combine it with some of their favorite cookies, you can't go wrong.

This bright and cheerful card is easy to create with just a few simple supplies. I stamped the cookies image three times onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with Early Espresso Classic ink and die cut them with the coordinating die. For the sentiment circle, I stamped the two images with Crumb Cake Classic ink, leaving a space in the middle for the die cut cookies. Using the die from the Love You More Than Dies, I die cut the word "cookies" from Early Espresso cardstock and attached it to the sentiment circle. I added the circle to the center of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added the cookies, adhering two to the top left corner and one to the bottom right. For a touch of bling, I colored five small Basic Pearls with the Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the card front. The Magenta Madness Designer Series Paper adds texture and color to this design that helps make the sentiment and the cookies pop.
