Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday July Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to CASE one of our team members. I am so excited to be CASEing the talented Elaine de Montmorency from Canada.
The card I chose to CASE is a cute holiday card featured on Elaine's blog here. I really love the lay out of this design and I thought it would be fun to create my own version with products from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
For my version of Elaine's card, I decided to create a fun birthday card using the Party Puffins stamp set with the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper, which is a Host Reward you can earn free with a qualifying party. I wanted the card to be bright and happy, so I chose to use Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry and Basic White to create the card.

This card was so much fun to create and I loved using the bright colors with the fun pattern of the designer series paper and how they popped against the Basic White cardstock layer. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the Happy Birthday with White embossing powder onto the strip of Poppy Parade so that it would stand out. I stamped the puffin image onto the Basic White circle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the party hat and fish images onto scrap cardstock and fussy cut them out. I colored all the images with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers to coordinate with the card design. I adhered the hat to the head of the puffin with Seal adhesive and popped up the fish with a Stampin' Dimensional so that it looks like the puffin is holding it. I colored three of the small Basic Pearls with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the card front for a touch of bling. It was so much fun CASEing Elaine's wonderful card design and I love how my card design turned out.
