We Create March Blog Hop Cut It Out

March has arrived so let's celebrate with the We Create Cut It Out Blog Hop with our theme of using punches and die cuts to create our projects. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you.
Today I thought I would share a fun Birthday card created with the Zany Zebras stamp set (item #152536) combined with the Playing With Patterns 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #152490). I loved the polka dot background of the designer series paper and it inspired me to use the stitched circles dies from the Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323) to create the focal image. For the sentiment, I used the Classic Label Punch to add contrast to the circles.

This clean and simple card is so much fun and I love the way the circles add a geometric feel to the design. The stitched detail adds texture to the circles without being overwhelming and I chose Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral from the colors used in the designer series paper to add contrast to the design. The zebra images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the sentiments were stamped with Coastal Cabana Classic ink to coordinate with the designer series paper. For the sentiment, I stamped the image onto Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch and then punched out another label from Calypso Coral cardstock and cut it in half. I attached it to the back of the sentiment label so that it created a frame to help the sentiment pop against the background. To embellish the card, I used the Playing With Patterns Resin Dots. I love how they resemble the polka dots in the background paper and help finish off the design.

  1. I love the bright colors with the b/w zebras, and the circle dies with the polka dot DP! This is perfect!

  2. I agree with Tanya! I LOVE how the bright colors of the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper works with that darling little zebra. I've kind of struggled with that set because of lack of color. This makes me want to go play with it some more.

  3. Aw, so adorable! Can't go wrong with these zebras!

  4. Love the zebras with these colors! Might have to CASE this 😁 Thanks for sharing!
