It's time to hop with the Global Stamping Friends (GSF) July Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to share the current In Colors with you. Today I chose to use the beautiful Rococo Rose from the new 2019-2021 In Colors. As you travel along our blog hop, you will be visiting blogs from Stampin' Up! Demonstrators all over the world as they share their wonderful ideas using these beautiful colors. I hope that it will inspire you to explore creating your own projects with these colors.
Once again, I have chosen the Daisy Lane Bundle (item #151118) to create my card design and I hope that my project ideas this week have helped you to see just how versatile this bundle really is. If you have missed any of my previous posts, please go back and check out the projects I have been sharing with this amazing new bundle. The Daisy Lane stamp set (item #149325) and coordinating Medium Daisy Punch (item #149517) make it simple to create fun projects and when you order the bundle, you save 10%.For today's card design, I chose to pair the beautiful Rococo Rose with Blushing Bride. I love how soft and pretty this color combination is. I chose to use Rococo Rose cardstock for the card base and I embossed it with the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder (item #151797) to added wonderful texture to the background.
Next, I added a layer of Blushing Bride cardstock measuring 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" to create the base for the focal layer. Using the Medium Daisy Punch, I punched out the daisy from the center of a 2 3/4" square of Rococo Rose cardstock to create a negative image.
Using the Rococo Rose cardstock square as a guide, I added the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, so that it would line up below the cardstock square.
Now it's time to assemble the card. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the Rococo Rose cardstock square to the top of the Blushing Bride cardstock layer, lining it up so that there was and even border around the top and sides and the sentiment is below the bottom edge.
In the center of the negative daisy image, I added one of the Perennial Essence Floral Centers (item #149442). I just love the fuzzy texture of this embellishment and it reminds me of how the center of a daisy looks.
For the finishing touch, I took a piece of Rococo Rose 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon (item #149704) and tied towards the end of the ribbon with a Piece of Linen Thread (item #104199). I then attached the Rococo Rose ribbon towards the bottom of the Blushing Bride cardstock layer. For the final step, I added the Blushing Bride cardstock layer to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I hope that my card design will provide you with ideas to help you create your own projects and have fun with these beautiful colors and see how they combine with Stampin' Up!'s core colors. This lovely card design was inspired by a card shared by fellow Canadian Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Allison Okamitsu. I CASEd her original card and made some changes to come up with my own personal design. Don't be afraid to be inspired by the designs and projects of others in helping you create your projects. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.
Happy Stamping,
Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
