We Create In Color 2017-2019 Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create In Color 2017-2019 Blog Hop as we say goodbye to these beautiful colors that will be retiring soon. I have so many favorite colors in this collection that I will be sad to see go. As you visit each blog, you will see wonderful projects using these colors to help inspire you with your own creations.
I think my absolute favorite color from the 2017-2019 In Color collection would have to be Lemon Lime Twist. It is such a wonderful vibrant color, perfect for Spring. I chose this as my main focal color for my card design and used Powder Pink, Berry Burst and a touch of Tranquil Tide.
The stamp set I chose for the image for my card is This Little Piggy, an old favorite from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. It makes me think of Spring and sunshine when I see this cute little pig holding a flower, so happy. I stamped the image with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored him in with the colors from the 2017-2019 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (item #144033), onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I die cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits (item #148551) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I layered it onto a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock that I also die cut with these dies.
I chose to use a piece of Lemon Lime Twist gingham paper from the Gingham Gala 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. Using the thin tip of the Berry Burst Stampin' Write Marker, I drew grid lines on the paper to create a colorful plaid look. I attached it to a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to create a matte and then added a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) across the center of the panel.
To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set (item #148580) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink along the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock background panel. It was then a simple manner of assembling the card to complete the design.
This color collection works beautifully together to create wonderful cards and projects for Spring and Summer. With the coordinating products that Stampin' Up! has to offer, it is simple to choose coordinating paper, ink and embellishments to design your project.

    1. Thanks Cheryl. I actually used the Gingham Gala designer series paper for this card but the Buffalo Check stamp would work well for this card too. :)
