Kre8tors December Blog Hop

It's time to hop with the Kre8tors Blog Hop and December's challenge is to create something with a Christmas theme. I love Christmas so the hardest part about this challenge was deciding what products I should use. As you hop along our Blog Hop, you will be visiting blogs from all over the world with ideas to inspire you and help you create your own fun Christmas projects.

The Christmas card design I have to share today was inspired by a beautiful card I saw on Pinterest created by fellow demonstrator, Su Mohr, and I knew that I just had to CASE it (Copy And Share Everything). This card was created using the Dashing Deer Bundle, one of my favorite bundles from the 2018 Holiday Catalog. The card base has been created using Old Olive cardstock, one of my favorite Christmas greens. I added a layer of Shaded Spruce cardstock and I just love the way it pops against the Old Olive.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Dashing Deer stamp set using Silver embossing powder and I also embossed one of the small deer images onto Shaded Spruce cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating Detailed Deer Thinlets dies. Did you know that if you order both of these products as a bundle, you can save 10%? Take advantage of this during the Year End Closeout Sale going on now until January 2nd, 2019.

To create the background for the focal point, I took a piece of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (item #146921) and die cut it with the Puzzle Pieces Thinlets dies (item #146830 p 219 Annual Catalog) to create the look of a jigsaw puzzle. I assembled the puzzle pieces and adhered them to a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I cut slightly larger than the puzzle. I adhered most of the puzzle pieces with Snail Adhesive but used Stampin' Dimensionals on several random pieces to pop them up to add dimension. I then added the die cut embossed deer to the center of the puzzle with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love the clean and simple look of this card and it would make a wonderful masculine card design for a birthday or thank you just by changing the sentiment. This card was a big favorite at my recent Christmas card buffet and I am so happy that I found Su Mohr's original card on Pinterest to help inspire me to create my own version to share.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope my Christmas card helps inspire you to try creating your own version of a card idea you have found on Pinterest. You never know what you might create.
