We Create Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the September We Create Fall Blog Hop. This month we are celebrating the approach of Fall and sharing wonderful project ideas to help you transition into a new season. Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world will be sharing their Fall ideas featuring Stampin' Up! products. I hope that our creations will help inspire you to get into the Fall spirit (and think beyond Pumpkin Spice Latte).

For my cards this month, I chose the new Pleasant Pheasants stamp set, which can be found in the new 2018 Holiday Catalog. I love the organic feel of the images in this set and they look wonderful using warm earth tones.

My first card features the large pheasant image and I heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I had stamped with the Hardwood background stamp set. I then added some color with the Watercolor pencils add softened them with a Blender pen. I love the rustic, vintage feeling of this design and the Early Espresso cardstock card base and sentiment really bring out the design.

My second card features a more traditional Fall image with the pumpkins in the rustic wheel barrow. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Very Vanilla circle that I die cut with the largest circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits dies. I colored the image and background using the Stampin' Blends Markers for a more vibrant look. I layered the circle onto an Early Espresso scalloped circle to frame the main image. One of the things I love about this stamp set is that it has a "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment, and I love the elegant font. I heat embossed with Gold embossing powder onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch. I layered it with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock also punched with the Tailored Tag Punch.

As you can see, this is a very versatile stamp set and works beautifully for traditional Fall themed cards and is perfect for masculine card designs. The Pleasant Pheasants stamp set is just one of the amazing products in the 2018 Holiday Catalog, which launches September 5th, 2018.

I hope that you have enjoyed my cards and I hope that they inspire you to start planning your Fall projects. Now it's time to visit Anastasia's blog and see what she has to share with us this month.
