We Create Celebrations Blog Hop

It's time to hop with the We Create Blog Hop Team and this month our theme is Celebrations. Our lives are full of celebrations and the amazing demonstrators on this blog hop will be sharing their projects to help inspire you to create your own wonderful creations for your special occasions. You may have just visited Sharon's blog and her wonderful celebration ideas. Or perhaps you are starting your blog hop adventure here with me. Either way, I hope that you have fun visiting with us as we share our ideas.

When I think of cards for celebrating, I think of birthdays and there are so many types of birthday cards you can create. Today I thought I would focus on bright, colorful and definitely fun birthday cards that you could create for anyone to help them celebrate their special day.

Today I used the new Broadway Birthday Bundle which features the Broadway Birthday photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Broadway Lights Framelits. When you purchase both these products as a bundle, you can save 10%. I love the fun images in this bundle and I combined them with the New 2018-2020 In Colors to create bright, colorful card designs. There are so many wonderful products in these colors that coordinate beautifully to make life simple. The card bases for both of my cards today are from the Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes pack (item #131527), which contains 20 cards and 20 envelopes to help you create enough cards for your family and friends.

My first card features the Blueberry Bushel Designer Series Paper and I just love this small polka dot background. I used a strip 2"x4" and used the Triple Banner Punch to create a banner. The sentiments are all from the Broadway Birthday stamp set and I heat embossed the Wish sentiment with Pineapple Punch Embossing powder. I just love that we have embossing powders in all the new In Colors!

The other images and sentiments were stamped using the In Color Classic inks in Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover. To embellish the card, I used two pieces of Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (item #146952) and Silver Metallic Pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack (item #146282). The party hats were die cut using the Broadway Lights Framelits dies.  I used the Classic Label Punch to punch out the smaller sentiment and added Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension.

My second card is very similar to the first design, but this time I used Grapefruit Grove Designer Series Paper and added Pineapple Punch 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (item #146953) as an embellishment. This time I heat embossed the large Hooray sentiment with Lovely Lipstick embossing powder and used Blueberry Bushel Classic ink to stamp the smaller sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and then punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.

The party hat image has been stamped with Call Me Clover Classic ink and die cut using the coordinating die in the Broadway Lights Framelits die set. To finish it off, I added the Gold Metallic Pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack.

As you can see, both of these cards have been created with clean and simple designs. By varying the colors and stamp images, you can create a variety of card designs quickly and easily with just a few supplies. The coordinating stamp set and framelit dies make it easy to create these fun cards without a lot of stress and fuss. These card designs would be perfect to create a lot of cards in advance to have on hand when you need a birthday card at a moment's notice.

I hope that you have enjoyed my birthday card designs and I hope they will inspire you to explore creating your own amazing cards using bold, bright colors and fun images.
