2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop New Annual Catalog

Welcome to the 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop. Today I am excited to share with you some of the amazing new products from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog as we visit blogs from Stampin' Up! demonstrators all over the world. I hope that our projects will inspire you to explore this wonderful new catalog.

My card today features the wonderful new Animal Outings Bundle which features the Animal Outings stamp set and the coordinating Animal Friends Thinlets Dies. When your purchase both together as a bundle, you save 10%. I fell in love with this bundle the moment I saw it and I couldn't wait for it to arrive. As a salute to my Australian homeland, I had to choose the adorable kangaroo image with the sweet little koala in its pouch. I love that there is a thinlet to die cut the image, making life so much easier.

I chose a Crumb Cake cardstock card base and added a layer of the new Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper pack (item #146926) to create the background. I just love the leaf pattern and I thought it worked perfectly with this bundle.

The kangaroo and koala were colored in using the Stampin' Blend Markers and I layered the die cut onto a Whisper White cardstock circle die cut with the largest circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits dies using Stampin' Dimensionals. To create the look of the sky, I cut a second circle from Pool Party cardstock and layered it behind and slightly above the Whisper White circle. The sentiment was stamped with Old Olive Classic ink below the kangaroo.

For a little shimmer and sparkle, I added some iridescent sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment (item #144214) to the background with Mini Glue Dots and I lightly colored the kangaroo and koala with Clear Wink of Stella (item #141897).

I love that this card works well as either a masculine or feminine design and is suitable for young and old. It is the perfect card design to have in your card stash when you need a card in a hurry. Who could resist those sweet little characters.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I would love it if you would leave me a comment letting me know what you liked best about this card design. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
