Ink & Share July Blog Hop Masculine

Welcome to Ink & Share's July Blog Hop as we explore the world of masculine designs. It is often a challenge to come up with cards for the men in our lives and today we will be sharing projects to help inspire you. You may have just visited Vicki's blog or this may be your first stop. I hope that you enjoy the creations we have to share with you today.

The two cards I have to share with you today are created with two different suites to give you two very different styles of cards.

My first card features the Nature's Poem Suite which features the Rooted in Nature Bundle and the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper. I love the organic feel of this suite and the images in the Rooted in Nature stamp set are wonderful for creating masculine cards. The large tree has been stamped and then die cut with the coordinating Nature's Roots Framelits dies to create the focal point and the large tree trunk stamped image creates texture for the background on the circle die which has been cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. The 5/8" Burlap Ribbon adds texture to the card design and provides a nice contrast with the designer series paper. I heat embossed the sentiment using Copper embossing powder to finish off the design.

For this card I used a combination of Tranquil Tide and Crumb Cake for a more classical feel to this card design, choosing the colors from the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper coordinating colors.

My second card design has a more playful feel to it and is a fun card to create. I used the Animal Outings bundle to stamp and die cut the various animals as well as the sentiment. I used the Everyday Label to punch out the sentiment, which has been stamped with Call Me Clover Classic ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. I used a strip of the 2018-2020 In Color 6"x 6" Designer Series Paper for a pop of color.

I love the combination of Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch from the new 2018-2020 In Colors and the bright, fun feel it brings to the card design.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card designs will help inspire you to try creating your own projects for the men in your life. 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop New Annual Catalog

Welcome to the 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop. Today I am excited to share with you some of the amazing new products from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog as we visit blogs from Stampin' Up! demonstrators all over the world. I hope that our projects will inspire you to explore this wonderful new catalog.

My card today features the wonderful new Animal Outings Bundle which features the Animal Outings stamp set and the coordinating Animal Friends Thinlets Dies. When your purchase both together as a bundle, you save 10%. I fell in love with this bundle the moment I saw it and I couldn't wait for it to arrive. As a salute to my Australian homeland, I had to choose the adorable kangaroo image with the sweet little koala in its pouch. I love that there is a thinlet to die cut the image, making life so much easier.

I chose a Crumb Cake cardstock card base and added a layer of the new Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper pack (item #146926) to create the background. I just love the leaf pattern and I thought it worked perfectly with this bundle.

The kangaroo and koala were colored in using the Stampin' Blend Markers and I layered the die cut onto a Whisper White cardstock circle die cut with the largest circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits dies using Stampin' Dimensionals. To create the look of the sky, I cut a second circle from Pool Party cardstock and layered it behind and slightly above the Whisper White circle. The sentiment was stamped with Old Olive Classic ink below the kangaroo.

For a little shimmer and sparkle, I added some iridescent sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment (item #144214) to the background with Mini Glue Dots and I lightly colored the kangaroo and koala with Clear Wink of Stella (item #141897).

I love that this card works well as either a masculine or feminine design and is suitable for young and old. It is the perfect card design to have in your card stash when you need a card in a hurry. Who could resist those sweet little characters.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I would love it if you would leave me a comment letting me know what you liked best about this card design. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
