What's New at SU Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the What's New At SU November Blog Hop as we share our project ideas for Christmas. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world. I hope that our creations help inspire you to create your own holiday projects. 

 My card design today is based on a fun fold card design created by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Rachel Tessman. I thought it was perfect for the Christmastime is Here Suite and adapted the design to work with these amazing products. 

 For the card base, I chose Mossy Meadow cardstock and added Merry Merlot cardstock to create the matte layer. I added a layer of the pretty Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #152154) to the card front, cutting a strip off one end, approx. 3/8", to create a gap for the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon (item #152156). I die cut a label from Whisper White cardstock using one of the Roses Dies (item #152144) and stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Rose stamp set (item #152431) and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the ribbon. (When you order the stamp set and dies as a bundle, you save 10% - Christmas Rose Bundle item #153944). 

 Using the detailed trellis style die from the Roses Dies, I used Gold Foil to create the die cut to go behind the sentiment label. I cut the Gold foil die cut in half and attached it to the back of the label with Snail Adhesive. For the inside of the card, I added a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and added a panel of Whisper White cardstock for the inside sentiment and a place to write a message. To decorate the side panel, I added three of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (item #152155) for a touch of bling.

Colour Combo November Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo November Blog Hop as we explore this month's wonderful Colour Combination. For November, we have been challenged to create a project using Sahara Sand, Pineapple Punch and Highland Heather. I hope that you enjoy the card design that I created using these colors. 

 This clean and simple card design focuses on ink, paper and stamps with just a little embellishment. I chose to use the Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer stamp set (item #149252) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to create this pretty card. This stamp set has a wonderful range of images and sentiments that makes it easy to create a wide variety of designs for all occasions.

 I started by using Highland Heather cardstock for my card base and added a layer of Sahara Sand cardstock to create the matte for the focal layer. I chose to use Whisper White cardstock to stamp my design on using a variety of images from the stamp set using Highland Heather, Pineapple Punch and Sahara Sand Classic ink pads. 

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image using Silver Embossing powder onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and I created a banner on one end using the Banner Triple Punch (item #138292). I added a strip of Highland Heather cardstock along the bottom of the sentiment label and trimmed it at the point. Across the top, I added a piece of Pineapple Punch 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon along the top of the sentiment label and trimmed it at the point. I love how this makes the sentiment pop against the background. For a touch of bling, I added Basic Rhinestones to the card front to finish it off.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop November

Welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop for November as we showcase products from Stampin' Up! This month I will be sharing with you a card that I created using the beautiful Christmastime is Here Suite that is available while supplies last. 

 My card design combines the Christmas Rose Bundle (item #153944) with the wonderful Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #152154) along with the Detailed Lace Dies (item #147053) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I love that this card design is perfect for a masculine Christmas card and the Gold Foil adds a touch of elegance that makes it extra special. 

 For this card design, I chose Merry Merlot cardstock for the card base and I added a piece of the Mossy Meadow tone on tone designer series paper to the card base. Using one of the Detailed Lace Dies, I die cut it from Gold Foil and attached it to the card base, slightly overlapping the bottom edge of the designer series paper. 

To create the sentiment, I used the dies from the Roses Dies (item #152144) using Merry Merlot cardstock for the label base and Very Vanilla cardstock to heat emboss the sentiment from the Christmas Rose stamp set (item #152431)with Gold embossing powder. I attached the sentiment to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals so that it slightly overlaps the Gold Foil. This is a wonderful clean and simple design that you could easily create multiple cards to send out to friends and family for Christmas.

ICS Monochromatic Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the ICS Monochromatic Blog Hop. We have been challenged to use just one color to create our project for today's hop using Stampin' Up! products in that color. We are also allowed to use Whisper White or Very Vanilla for our design. For me, the hardest thing about this challenge is deciding what color to choose. 

For today's card design, I decided that I wanted to use some of the products from the Toile Tidings Suite in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. The cardinal image from the Toile Christmas stamp set (item #150469) is so beautiful and when I saw that one of the colors in the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper (item #150432) was Real Red, I knew that was the color I wanted to use for this monochromatic challenge. 

 To create this card design, I started with Real Red cardstock for the card base and added a layer of the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper to create the background. I just love the vintage design of this paper. I stamped the cardinal image using Real Red Classic ink and die cut it using the coordinating die from the Christmas Cardinal Die set (item #150640). Both the stamp set and die set can be ordered as the Toile Christmas Bundle (item #152367) at a savings of 10%. To color the cardinal, I used Clear Wink of Stella to give it a soft water color shimmer. 

Using the Stitched Labels Dies (item #145372), I die cut the largest oval from Very Vanilla cardstock and layered it onto a scalloped oval die cut from Real Red cardstock using the Layering Ovals Dies (item #141706). I attached the cardinal to the Very Vanilla oval using Snail adhesive and the attached the ovals to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto Real Red cardstock using Versamark ink and I heat embossed it with Shimmer White embossing powder (item #149511). I die cut the sentiment with the coordinating die from the Christmas Cardinal Dies and attached it to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To embellish the sentiment, I added two of the small Basic Pearls for a little bling.
